Chris:

Thought I recognised it!

I've driven it once on a sprint track, ballistic car. Very nice.
Used to race against it.
Belonged to Carman on here.

Had GEMS and a FMIC then and a superb dog box, but was sold with an RA dccd box.
The DMS system was fantastic and cost a fortune.

That's right, didn't know the chap I bought it off came on here also as I found it on ebay. The dccd box has now got a prodrive S2 gearset in it -sounds brilliant

Still running the gems and APS front mount, friends keep asking what I'm going to do to it but this is the first car I've not felt the need to mod. Both the performance and handling are superb.

Best scoob I've owned to date

Yes, I very nearly sold my mild modded Sti and bought it off Carman, but paid a bit off the mortgage instead!

It did have very light BBS 17's which were £1000 when new.

It was sold to a character I think from the north (could be wrong) and it re-appeared in Autosport for a lot of $$$$$$ about 18 months back.

You have a very nice RA.

john, they are 17's. we are having some trouble with the police, so it's better to keep it legal

Thank you ever so much - your lovely motor has inspired me.

I'll be taking delivery of a '93 silver WRX soon and desparately want to change the puny 15" alloys and put on a STi 5 or 6 wing - for that all-important rally-apeing look!

Unfortunately, I'm on a bit of a tight budget and was thinking of these...

...extremely similar period rally-look alloys - 17s, 15-spoke with tyres £400 all in. What do ya reckon?...

Hi mate. Are those 'Drift RS' alloys in gun-metal or black - I can't quite make it out? What size - 17s?

Cheers

Yeah (laugh)... you can tell I'm in a bit of a dilemooor, can't you! I'm trying to glean as much info as poss before deciding to splash my hard earned ...

It's such a personal/subjective, and therefore very important, thing. It can break a car, if you get it badly wrong (and p*** you off into the bargain) ...
