then there is the useless fuel economy / cost of the Sti (15 mpg average)
Plus in this case the stigma of being non UK supplied - if and when all the shockers fail which they seem to regularly a UK dealer will not simply exchange them as they do on UK cars
Gut feeling is that £11k is incredible value and I was shocked to see that other genuine car - Not keen on black, or Euro otherwise i would have it now as I miss mine (which cost £20k 18 mths ago!)

Your 3 yr warranty only works if you are prepared to let the car sit with a main dealer whilst they 'negotiate' with the country of origin as far as I have heard on here
as to different planet, well no, actually only half a planet away on average, in a different time zone, speaking a different language (rarely martian though) and they generally have better things to do than worry about the shocks on a car half way across the planet, in a...you must get the jist by now...
Std (non PPP) 03 Sti worth c £13.5, - Euro, maybe £11 - you cant have your cake and eat it - the car was c 25% cheaper when new - take 25% off the second hand value of £13.5 k and perhaps you will see why £12k is unlikely...............

as I said, you pay more in the first place for a proper UK car and in return get proper warranty and proper residual - dont bleat now if its not worth as much as a UK car - it cost far less to start with...!

[QUOTE=GazTheHat]Completely wrong. If your car has warranty, it will be fixed. Personally speaking from example, not S/NET readings.

.. but when? - I.M. and the Dealers i tackled on the subject when I was tempted empaticaly stated that all works have to be approved by vending National Dealer (eg Cyprus) and in the event of principal failure eg engine and tranny, they can insist that the units are returned for inspection - ie your car gets stripped at your expense and at best you wait for said approval......or not... - thats why most are put off by the tempting discounts, and they are tempting - as for used market customers supposedly having to forget all this and stump up UK values...........
If I saved £5k new on an import I would not be stupid enough to expect the same used value as an official UK, - nor is anybody else likely too.
The seller of this car was looking for guidance as to why his car was not selling, if the news is bad, dont have a go at the messenger...
