Down side is 10-11 hours flying time, but don't let put you off,
ChrisBeaches are heaving though, as you can see below. lol.

Are you well looked after on a longhaul flight?
Cheers for all of the input!
PS - The GF wants Las Vegas for 1 week, then flight down to Mexico (not Cancun) for the 2nd week!!! (She doesn't want much!!!)

Rhodes in general is a lovely island.. visited Lindos twice during the 2 weeks we were there.... seemed about 10 degrees hotter there than the rest of the island.. very hilly, but very beautiful.
Just got back from Kefalonia just over a week ago... a nice island, but don't think i'd plan on returning. I prefer the islands on the eastern side of the mainland.
both islands less than 4 hours away.

Hand on heart, I would go every year if I could. All inclusive is the way to go, it can cost anything between £1100 each (all inclusive ) all the way upto 2-3 grand.
downside is there's **** all to do when you get there, apart from sunbathe, snorkel, and dive, some islands do have a few watersports like windsurfing but thats about it....Its a relaxing type holiday, mainly adults, I could count on both hands how many children i've seen there in the 3 previous times I've been before. No boogie boxes on the beach with chavs playing their Vengaboys tapes. ( do I sound old lol)
Once your there and your trainers are off, I didn't put them back on in the whole two week holiday, even for meals..... even the bar area in sand.
Pm me if you want any more gen, I don't want to upset the mods or admin with too much typing on here.......................but be quick, the islands are sinking...........well, the oceans rising.....and they are only 3 feet about sea level...
Nb.1, The piccy with the heron.............................Thats about as rough as the sea gets lol.
Nb.2, The last piccy show's the sea plane transfer from the main airport, Some holidays have this included in the price, others don't and its about £75-80 quid pp. Depending on which island you visit, it could be a 20 min flight, or 2 hours on a dhoni boat !!!!!!!
Best time to go is October to April.
