i like the way ollyK jumps in to dismiss the battery thing out of hand and to then backtrack and say, 'well it puts in the phone in a battery saving state and the sound is crap'

it's quite alarming how everyone's soo quick to rubbish everyone else

i would guess everyone is a bit more arnie like behind a keyboard or if we got together we'd be dialling 112 after about 10 minutes

It wasn't backtracking, it was providing the detail behind it.

hehe, Telboy be careful; my gf would kick your *** if she thought you were getting fresh

So, OllyK, there's some sort of mode to effectively improve phone life from your remaining battery level? I think you're right; not backtracking at all

It only applies to Nokias and there isn't a "back up battery" as descibed in the post, it's like saying you can increase the size of the car's fuel tank by removing half the spark plugs

fair point, it does imply there's some additional resevoir rather than the reality of a mode that is more battery efficient.

However, you were pretty rash instantly dismissing TelBoy's point, only to then, albeit partially, substantiate his point.

you'd have been 'nicer' to say, "that's not entirely true. there's no resevoir, but there is a power saving mode".

If we were all in each other's presence, apart from having to avoid Tel's improper advances , I don't think you'd be quite so dismissive. it's quite aggressive really.

If I knew him and was in person he'd have probably got a response of "don't be a c*nt, that's bollox" I'm far more refined online than in reality

If you lot were in a room, would you throw all your keyfobs in the pot? Then phone them and see whose cars the lucky winner? Apart from Olly since his battery ran out

Having seen the photos on the "What do you look like" thread, I'd consider that a lucky escape

My car had a flat battery this morning. I plugged its car charger into the lighter socket, put in the reserve battery code, and my car started!

Well done Tel

PS - my mobile phone battery is now dead, so is the reserve battery - nobber
