Isn't a problem at our place. We're only a small firm (about 40 people) and we have a couple of muslims. Both nice fellas, very professional etc etc. They go off at lunch time, other than that, I've not seen it make any difference. It's no big deal really.

I would to try to fit in, contribute to society, and keep myself to myself until such a time as I and the people around me felt comfortable with interacting with eachother. Total joke... what is your rationale? We can give you loads of examples and indeed already have as to why your arguments are flawed and have no basis in stats or facts. Yet you seem to think that this country owes you something. Get this straight - it does not.

And get this straight - it does not owe me anything and I am 100% English, proud of it, and have lived and worked here the majority of my life (except when I have overseas work assignments). I am also shocked at what this country is becoming but that has nothing to do with Muslims alone but many things.

However, if I want to be a part of society I adapt to this society as I did through growing up. Why can't you - why should we allow people to believe their faith is greater than anything else in a country that has allowed you to enter and live here yet you seem to want to change.

Cultural diversity is good IF it corresponds to the country as a whole. Do we tax British Muslims more than anyone else. DO we not allow you to vote, to drive a car, to buy a TV licence?

Nobody has suggested the deck be rigged, merely that a fair hand be dealt to all.
It is my opinion that racist and anti-muslim feeling is the cause of the figures we've seen on this thread.
When that stops the mass of the muslim peoples will be able to show their true potential as many have already done.
If Britain becomes a muslim state (which is a quite legitimate aim if achieved through democracy) you'll find that the tolerance of Islam means that white christains won't be discriminated against in the same manner.

Not before these events though. Before 9/11 the average Joe didn't know the difference between a Turban a Teleban or a Teletubby. And yet still muslims didn't prosper.

So in your opinion, whose fault is it then and more importantly what should be done about it? Perhaps playing the victim card a lot will help?

I'm sure they'd be very tolerant . I think the answer lies in the systematic brainwashing that Muslims are subjected to since birth. The majority of the Non-Islamic world has deluded itself into believing that the principles of Islam are tolerant in nature. This misconception is heightened when people think that the fault lies with only a handful of misguided Muslims who are not adhering to Islamic principles and hence indulge in terrorism. It is time for the entire world to realise that Islam by its very nature and through its essential principles openly supports, encourages and propogates Terrorism of the worst kind. Therefore the Islamic terrorist is in fact the most devout muslim, because he is following exactly what Islam teaches through the Divine Koran. It is this very Koran which is considered by Muslims to be the holy word of their Allah himself. The fault lies somewhere between racists (which always existed) and the extremists who wanted to provoke anti-muslim feeling and thus be able to launch jihad.
What can be done about it? Educate the masses that Islam isn't a religion of violence and that fundamentalist nutters have nothing to do with it.
