The track guys at York Raceway were excellent, they had the track well prepped and sprayed right up to the 1/8th. They were actively seeking feedback on how the track felt and re spraying as necessary. Pulled my best ever 60' there yesterday at 1.541

I think thats why Steve was jumping on the startline He knew the track was spot on. It's difficult to get an ideal surface for launching a 4wd car and to have the UK 4WD (perhaps European ?) record there means a lot to the track team. Well done guys.....I'll be back

See http://www.york-raceway.co.uk/homepage.html for events line up.

Well done Andy on your new time and record. What was the terminal speed as you crossed the line? Still think that last run at totb was an 8 sec run though

Think they said 158 mph. Must say it looked great going down the strip. What impesssed me the most was the lack of start line antics, Andy just quietly rolled it up to the line and launched it, next to no wheelspin and no pops and bangs, just hugely quick.

Talking

Got to be more than 158 mph for the terminal. He crossed the line at 171 mph at totb with a 9.8 or sec quarter and then when the inlet blew he crossed at 9.7 sec with a 100 mph terminal puts a smile on my face that one all the time

Thumbs up

158 mph it was then just goes to show what the engine was pushing out and capable of doing if he could do a 171 mph@9.8 at totb on normal road tyres was this to do with having more power/torque at totb or maybe to do with Melbourne having more traction off the line?????????

It can get a bit confusing doing the strip as I have noticed myself.

Andy! can you answer the above question?

Also a lot to do with less drag from the road tyres he used at TOTB, and the difference in measurement of final speed between the two venues.

Can't see a link to a vid of my Mundano cracking the 15s (much to the annoyance of the guy next to me in a turbo'd XR3I conv, who only beat me by 0.1s)

He needs to slow himself down! I couldn't get a decent shot of anything on Sunday. Think I was having an off day (at least I hope that's all it was)!
