So the police where attempting to shut down one of the sound system and were confronted by a large mob.
And the rest is a suprise?

If you are breaking the law and confront the Police in large numbers then what do you expect?

Who gives a **** about "mutual respect".

If these ***** set up an illegal rave in a field next to my house they aint showing me any mutual respect - I wouldn't want the police to show them any either

but anyways the rave was illegal the farmer didnt want them there, the people in the village who could hear the music didnt want them there, so police go in and get attacked by a load of idiots.

Completely agree. I own a small field near my house. I am damn sure that if 1,000 kids turned up and made a big noisy party on it I would be very pissed off.

I would certainly want the police in (once I had executed la droite de seigneur or as the Normans used to say, Noblesse Oblige ).
