I've had my MY98 for 8 years now, 156K on the clock, no troubles whatsoever and it's still worth Part Exchange: £2,335
Quite chuffed with that, saw a nice bi tuirbo Leg estate at a dealers might try my luck, although I expect to be offered probably half of that.
I say buy a new scoob and run it till it dies, you'll probably get 10 years/ 200000 miles out of it with nothing other than pads discs and tyres to replace, thats all I have had to change along with a radiator at 140000 and a ABS sensor at 135000 (my fault clipped a curb) she bombs around the M25 day in day out a real work horse, now thats value for money IMHO

However, I do think 200,000miles out of a set of discs and pads means you are driving it like a Chavvie!!

I certainy is the Dark Red Mica Met paintwork does perfectly compliment the cream leather, and there is a touch of black leather also on the seats and on the door cards, whoever paid for these optional extras when new must of made a hole in their wallet!!! I must admit this spec of vehicle is a bit of a rareity, I was lucky to get hold of it in the first place.

So considering you have the next generation of vehicle as well I would of though you should indeed get more £ for your car than mine, I think someone is taking the p*** there, just trying to make more than the book price when they come to shift it on!!!

I know, it hurts. I'm looking at getting a ex-demo STI. I have a 2002 sti with PPP, 25k on the clock. They have offered me 11k and I paid about 28k (with PPP) just 4.5 years ago...

£4k for a classic sounds about right for these days. £8k is optimistic bordering on cuckoo-land. Think I'll hold on to mine for a bit longer yet as there's still plenty of life left in her - only done about 45k since Jan 2001.
