I went to this event last year and vowed never to go again. Overall it was boring and it took about 2 hours to leave the car park in the queues. At least it was free last year though, did you have to pay ?

Yeah never again!!!!!!

It was £35.00 for a car or minibus with up to 12 people. At least it is bein refunded!!!! Think they have to otherwise they would be hammered by 1000's of angry emails!!

I went, didn't leave home til 12 midday, only 30 miles to travel, i heard from a mate that there had been a bad accident on the blue route, which basically closed the road, i suspect that the only reason the queue kept moving was due to people turning around..... i'm just greatful i didn't get there at 9am only to sit there til 4 to find out it wasn't going to happen,.......

We left from Leeds at 6am and headed south to the "red" carpark. We eventually got there at 1:30 pm, so didnt do too bad by most other peoples experiences. It did seem badly organised, but to be fair to red bull, the weather was too bad to fly, it got cancelled & they refunded.I dont see what else they could've done. I was as pi55ed off as everyone else and probably wont go again. We stayed over last night, went to longleat again today and did the safari thing, so it wasnt a complete waste of time.

to sum up saturday.. 7 1/2 hours drive ,to eat a crap burger and stand in the rain for 2 hours.

sunday, great day out, loads to see & do and a 4 1/2 hour drive home

Looks like we made the right call, We decided Friday night that we wernt going, I had a thought that the wind would stop play and we did not fancy looking into the sky in the pi$$ing rain. The weather forcast predicted the bad weather so they should have called it off Friday eve!!

So Fuel saved and got us tickets refunded!

Must have cost Red Bull and Longleat a packet

we have to pay because it is at longleat, i was told that the money goes to the park for loss of earnings as they have to shut the whole park when the air race is on. i dont think that the other events around the world are hosted in such a place so the charge does not apply
