There is a red-light which is a shifter indicator. You can set it whatever RPM you want and whether to flash, beep or both. Good when you're familiarising yourself with the car, so you can keep your eyes on the road. It was probably set real low (< 3k) or something, so it was always on.
The standard car is quiet. A change in exhaust or even just the backbox will change that, and give you the noise you were expecting.
The turbo noises change also, if you change the whole exhaust, for a sports/decat version.
The EU version is almost identical to the UK version, but does not have locking wheels nuts.
Are you gonna buy it??
