Not forgetting Donna has a couple of tanks too

Heres some pics of my tanks, and some of the fish that have recentlyy departed

Here is my old 13 year old blue channel catfish who sadly died last year

and here is my Paroon Shark, who was suffering badly from white spot and died within 10 minutes of these pics, I came home from work to find him like this, and only took the pics to post on the aquarium forum

Cool I like clowns, they are good fish to keep, busy wee guys who don't bother the other fish

I'll post pics of my new fish when I get them, Im still a little scared of getting lots as the tank has had a serious scrub out and is still maybe too clean to put new fish in, although it has been set up for over a fortnight now and algae is starting to form, so I assume it willl be ok for fish now too?

Tam

Have you been putting cycle in the tank ? I did this when I first set mine up, but I aso cheated slightly as I had some fish in my old tank, and used 90% of the water out of the old tank, mixed with new treated water (tap safe) and some cycle, and for the first few months I used cycle with the fish too

What I used was Interpet Trizyme Bio-Start, 4.75 for 8g

You can also get something called 'cycle' which essentially does the same thing, it helps to cycle the tank ready for new fish, it rapidly establishes the nitogen cycle, and breaks down organic waste without using dissolved oxygen

I just gave the fish some frozen blood worm, and it was a mass feeding frenzy lol

What I also did with my tank was get some blue neon tubes (like what you put in a pc, for the chav effect) so that the main tubes come on in the day from about 2pm to 8pm, and then from 8pm till midnight the blue neons come on, and create a nice moonlight effect, just enough so I can see the fish, but not enough to make them think it is still daylight, so all the nocturnal fish come out and play

The plants are all fake they are a solid base with gravel and stone, with a few plants on each block, about 15 quid each from my local aquarium place
