Surely theres a difference between Pete Docherty and your average smack-head on the street? Whether he is a **** or whether hes strung out on Class As makes no difference at all to us or to our well-being, does it? Id suggest reading Labelling Theory by Howard Becker (for those able...).

The greatest songwriters / artists always have some kind of mental imbalance. its part and parcel and undeniably linked, and he is (was) a great songwriter.

The junkies who steal/beg/borrow to feed there habbit and never give anything back to the world are the real scum. he has given a small handful of great songs (although the Babyshambles stuff is sh1te!)

Let him carry on f*cking himself up till he dies - he aint realy bothering you personally is he DCI - and we may get a few more stonking drug fuelled choons in the meantime

But hes not, hence not being sent down, hes had 2 tests for heroin and coke last month and passed them both, if they found any traces of drugs in his body he would have been sent down. Thats the conditions of his sentancing.

Seems like a decent sort of kid to me, just got caught up in that whole rock 'n' roll self destruct lifestyle thing. He'll probably grow out of it, but in the mean time I don't really mind what he does.

I can not see why he is not locked up and the keys thrown away!!!

I can not stand him.

He is makin drugs like heroin fashionable and making young people i.e teenagers who idolise him think that drugs are good and makes u look cool.

Who wants to be like him a dirty, drug addict with no good to anyone.

They would lock up normal people who kept re-offending like him. They should make an example of him and come down hard on him.

The only real victim of the crime he's being done for his himself.

Do you really want to be paying the £4k per week (or similar) it costs to keep him locked up?
