I too am resigned to the quick changes but how many cars can you buy that give you more performance per £ - not many (especially if you pay euro import prices).

The 06 is better looking than anything that Subaru have produced for a few years, but pales when next to a P1, 22b or a typeR

Do people really buy a car mainly based on what the front end looks like? Rather than economy, performance, price, locality of dealer, etc. ? As said above Imprezas sell on performance / £. Give us a 300bhp 4wd 4door saloon for £20k and they will sell irrespective of looks.
PS still don't understand why 'propeller'.

Personal opinion is that the Blobeye is the best looking of all (minus a few special edition classics).
I also think that a thread like this will never have a whole community agreeing, its kinda why choosing a car you like can be soo much fun.
Edit: The S204 pictured above falls into a special edition category, and your right... its a decent looking car.

"Hawkeye" shape is my favourite of all the Impreza's to date! They are the best all round car out the box to date too, and respond very well to a little tuning!

When you consider Impreza's in 2 generations you'd have to be mad to say Bug-eye's or blob-eye's are in anyway comparible to Classic's. The Classic in its many shapes and forms made Subaru Impreza the name it is today, and this is in decline because of its newer uglier design.
I know many members on here own the later design but you'd have to be insanely biased to say any later design is as pretty and sexy as a Type-R or a P1.
I've said it before and i'll say it again that Subaru need to make a damn sexy chassis with a standard base model producing 400BHP. Consider the VXR's and Clio Williams' rise in power and performance in the last 15 years. Subaru need to step up their game as well, giving the consumer and obvious reason to choose a fast family car over a pocket rocket.
