In regards to paypal, its a safe method of payment and If you dont have a paypal account, ask a mate to sort it out for you.
And you dont do addresses, what is that supposed to mean ?
read it how you like, the way you have reacted to this how do i know, this is only an assumption that you have caused some damage in the heat of the momment

you know that its impractical to for me travel to brum again and your taking this to your advantage.. if you did want to offer a refund, you will offer it either way. Your just winding me up .. and you dont want to return my money!

Got to laugh you are like a married couple.....neither of you are willing to give an inch (insert your own gag here)

Fullboost...you claim Gaz is being completely unreasonable by wanting to do a face to face exchange of goods/ money. Then you insist on a paypal payment (this obviously incurs a fee to you) which IMO clearly calls Gaz's integrity in to question-possibly alluding that a cheque might bounce or be stopped? Then you want the refund prior to sending the item back recorded/ special delivery..........what have you got to lose? You have a turbo that is of no use to you anyway and you'e out of pocket. Slip it in the post; pack it well and I'm sure Gaz will have no problem with sending you a cheque back.

I'd be p*ssed off as well mate but we're not talking a lot of money here. Is it really worth all the stress? Gaz has offered a refund in principle (and you have this in writing) so there is no reason for him to go back on his word.

Alternatively put it on ebay as I suggest mate. The reason I suggested it is that I put the EXACT same turbo on there at the start of the year and it sold fo £94.00 plus £15.00 postage.

Gaz - could you not agree to stick a part refund in the post and on safe receipt of the turbo issue the remainder when you are happy that it has come back to you in the condition it was sold in?

Sincerely hope you sort it out.

This is just absolutely ridiculous.

After knowing that you were offering a refund, i really thought Harvey and other reputable members suggestions must have had a impact on your so called integrity. I guess you are trying to prove us wrong

I really started to believe that you were a man of your word and will offer a refund, a refund without lame conditions and pointless terms such as pick up only refund and refuse to give me your address. You know that its impractical to travel to brum, so i offered recorded delivery to which you think will still get lost in the post somewhere. i feel im dealing with a caveman!

Well, if your forgetting i was not the one who sold the wrong item, in claimed innocense, infact i was the one who bought the wrong item in wrong assurance. I should be claiming travel costs from you too, but as harvey mentioned that not checking the item properly was my part of fault, hence i only asked you a refund for the turbo, and NOW you just seem to be escalating matters and eventually trying to find the nearest exit.

If you have any self respect, any decency .. then you would have no silly objections and infact will come to an agreement, thats if you really want to offer a refund! and not by just saying it!

I sincerely apologise to everyone reading this thread again, but if your sick and knowing about this issue again and again, can you imagine what im going through! There is no means of communication with Gaz-cole oustide as he doesnt reply to my pms but after me taking back my words in public, he thinks his job is done.

Thanks for your opinion.

However, its not a lot of money. But i work hard and if money grew on trees, i wouldnt mind letting it pass. Putting on ebay might fetch me better money, but im not here to make a profit. Im a learning subaru enthusiats and im only doing this to fulfil my satisfaction. I did get off to a bad start though

In regards to recieving the payment first, im still in a shock and have doubts about Gaz-cole's honesty at the moment, purely cuz i was sold the wrong turbo in his assurance.

As of my word to Gaz, we agreed to a price and date, and i did show up with the actual amount without any haggling. So i have not even used the turbo and its in the same condition as i have bought it off him.

Im literally a 100 miles away from him, and its obvioulsy impractical to travel to his place to meet him near that bar again. however on the previous occasion, i did come down coincidently and agreed to meet him for the deal.
