No mate, it means I can walk home (or crawl) rather than being miles away and being ripped of by bloody cabs/taxix charging me what they like because it is a Friday or Saturday night.
However i have an idea for a North London Subaru meet/event.

What about a karting evening ?

Track day or karting sounds like a grand idea Ralph and Alloy.

Next meet is going to invlove a cruise but I was thinking about lunch or dinner too.

I was thinking more along the karting idea because it is much cheaper than hiring a track for the day, ie karting £60-£70 for the entire evening (7pm till midnight) £200 plus for track day.
Also, speaking as a track day veteran, If I am going to **** tyres, brakes and use copious amounts of fuel I would rather it be someone else's rather than mine.

Yip . . Tyres still there . . .Had them checked at an MOT centre the other day, and they confirmad them as legal! . . And they are intensely worn because I must admit I have struggled to control my car on several occasions . . .It wasn't big, and it wasn't clever!

Anthropolical studies, films....etc. Have you anymore insane ideas today

I've got a Digi cam though. We can build up boxes starsky and hutch style to run into and do the whole bonnet rolling thing I've always wanted to do. Might hurt our back on the scoop though .

Hahahhaha

Thats quality. Is it carbon fibre though?

I'm a bit big to roll over that though. LOL

By all means continue to be creative.

I'm meeting with Adam (My Web Designer) this Wednesday to plan the North London Subaru's website. So if you have any ideas or things you would like on it let me know.

Andy,
I didn't mean use somebody else's car (as In Esh's) I meant use their karts and wreck them instead.
On a good track day I will personally use one third of a tank for every 25mins on track plus one set of brake pads for the whole day and scrub off about 5000 miles of wear from the tyres, on top of the track day cost this means a total spend in excess of £500 for the day.

Leave it with me then,
I will make some phone calls and get definative prices and dates etc.
The best indoor track is at Colchester and it is also one of the cheapest (because it out of London).
Any ideas on evening preference, Friday, Saturday ?

Hi All,

This is for indoor karting at Indikart in Colchester, Nice fast track with long straights and tight hairpins !!!

Well here we go, if my typing finger holds out !!.
Four different types of race:-
1) Indikart Clubmans Cup
2) Indikart Mini Grand prix
3) Indikart Full Grand prix
4) Endurance Team racing

Indikart Clubmans:
Practice, race and safety briefing,4 heats per driver each heat starting from different grid position, semi final, final.
Presentation with trophy and bubbly for winner. Minimum 8 drivers.

Indikart Mini:
As above but with 6 heats per driver.
trophies for 1st,2nd and third place with bubbly for winner. Minimum 10 drivers

Indikart full:
As above but with 8 heats per driver, all else is the same as Indikart mini.

Endurance team racing:
Pre race practice and briefing.
Duration of 1-6 hrs as agreed at time of booking.
Min 5 teams/max 8 teams.

Costing:-
Clubmans £42.00 per driver
Mini grand prix £53 per driver
Full grand prix £65 per driver
Endurance Max 2 drivers per team (1 hour) £80 per team (£40 each)
Max 4 drivers per team (2 hours) £160 per team (£40 each)
Max 6 drivers per team (3 hours) £240 per team (£40 each)

I would suggest we try and get a total of 25 people and go for the endurance racing as this would mean 5 teams of 5 giving only 5 karts on track at a time, plus the endurance race seems to give more track time (you certainly come home feeling shagged anyway).

Thoughts please !!!

Ralph

Obviously I am planning it now but it is going to take a while to sort out plus Indikart need approx 2-3 weeks notice for a corporate event.

As Esh say's get your name down and lets see if we can get this one of the ground.

Hi again,

I tried to call you but it was ringing off.

We'll get 25 people no probs. It may not be all of us scooby drivers but as long as the majority of our new friends can get over to this then great.
