I've loved owning the 3 cars I have had the pleasure to - Bug WRX, Blob WRX and now I have a classic STi. I never bought any of these cars for their looks. It's all about the drive! And for the record, I think the best looking one I had was my bugeye wagon with Prodrive lights.

At the end of the day all Scoobys are beautiful... they are the drivers machine and looks very, but its something you should all look at as a good thing.
If we all had Scoobys that all looked exactly the same then it'd be a boring world... variety is the spice of life - and I love that Scoobys keep changing their looks so drastically!
................at the very least it gives us sumin to argue about! lol

Oh you have that backwards. The bugeyes had map switching and the ECU is more desirable that the blobeye unit. The blobeyes also had a problem with open loop - closed loop fueling delay.

In the grand scheme of things, theres not alot to choose from between the Blob or Bug. Personally i dont like the bug WRX lights, but thats the beauty of an opinion
Heres my bug STI and i love the way it looks, some may not but i do....
Go get what YOU like mate...

LOL at the defensive bug eye owners. I remember when I bought the P1, there was a ugly bugly next to it at the dealers. Just shook my head in derision at the sheer ugliness of it. I will never buy any new shape Impreza, and especially NEVER an Ugly Bugly.

I hated the bugeye when it first appeared - but that didn't stop me buying one some time later mainly because the interior, side view and back end is so much better than classic. I have kept it standard although I have always hankered after morrettes which would make it the best ever design. After so long now I have come to like the bugeye and think it's pretty OK and the design will arguably stand the test of time - in fact I can see shades of 60's supercar in it like DB5.
The only way forward now (if I ever change) is to a Litchfield spec. MY06.
