To bring this back onto topic (kids )...

If you're not happy with the dealers service get your money back. End of.

Pippyrips is quite right. There is a bargain on this site from Novarally (More PR ) and if you can raise the funds by virtue of an unsecured loan go for it.

I wouldn't put up with a dealer after having paid that kind of money for a car.

At the end of the day . .Who in their right mind gives a sh*t!

Unhappy

My local dealer told me when I was looking that a WRX300 was basically the same as a Standard WRX (225bhp) but with added goodies like blue seat etc, and confirmed that 300 was to identify the amount being sold, not to be confused with 300 bhp. Based on that, I didnt by one as I already had a WRX. Looks like I was mis-informed then?.

Your dealer is a complete tw8t , and needs to be shot! .. True . .A lot of things abour the WRX300 are cosmetic, but there is also teh PPP, uprating output to 265!

Obviously you do. Like I said, I made a light hearted comment, that to someone with a brain would have been seen as just that. That is why I put a Smiley at the end. This one in fact.

That fact that you threw your toys out of the Pram, and started calling me name's just goes to show that a) You have no sense of humour. and b) You know your car is cr@p and you feel the need to justify you buying it.

Yes . . You indeed put a smiley! . . And we are still , or rather sti ll splitting at the sides! . . .So next time you throw out your fluffy dice out of your STi, just think of it as toys out of the pram! . . .

Dude . . .Relax!I love you man! . . .I have a sense of humour , and feel no need to justify in buying it because its the best car in the world! . . .Good day to you Sir!

Cool

Grab the STI with both hands.

Front Suretrack diff, goes round corners better than a WRX
Superb 6 speed gearbox with a natural short throw
Brembo brakes on 330 mm discs
Nice, alcantara suede seats
Bigger turbo
Forged pistons
Better, stronger engine
Quicker steering rack
Bigger intercooler
Intercooler water spray
Much more scope for future tuning, should you wish

you did'nt say which dealer you bought the car from but if it was eastwoods, des"the owner" is a true gentleman and would go out of his way to make you happy even if the deal seemed to good to be true.i would take the sti for sure,im sure it was all a one off.

My wrx 300 (first ever one) has just come back from a |SIDC trackmaster day with. It was an driver training course. On a airfield with 9 other scoob and a supra twin and evo 8. It was the best day I have ever had. I made that baby dance. Did everything from high speed cornering to full lock turns, slaloms and a speed time course at the end.A completely groovy car. Here is the test: You go out several times a day to look at your scoob, it must evoke natuaral automatic smilke for you everytime you see it. If this is not the case then asta la vista.
I'mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm luvvvvvvin it big styley!

Not trying to rub anyone up the wrong way but the WRX300 was a last ditch effort to clear the wings for the new model, thats not to say they are not great cars and very quick, its just a fact thats all! As i said, if the opportunity is there, go for the Sti or a new Import that will hold its value longer than the UK car.

stilover . .Sport . .

No . .Your STi is like an electric toothbrush . .Meaning is got pokey bits, and it makes noises, and goes nowhere . .Big Spoilers, big scoops, big wheels . . .What on earth for . .Bet when you drive, you feel like a hornet in a glass jar!

And yes . . Haven't you unpgraded your standard ICE system, or did the budget stop there???I really would install a fridge, but I fear it will not be too agreeable with my CD stacker . . . . .But then again . .I don't need a fridge . . .I have aircon! But you might have issues using yours as it takes about half a bhp from the output . . By the way . . .Have you put a chav valve???

Regards

Ivan

Spec's and figures can get confusing, guides like this don't help much either.
So an STI has the same power as a WRX PPP.

I've had my WRX300 since last september and must say I am extremely happy with it. I was at the time of buying considering taking advantage of the Subaru free PPP offer on a standard WRX - but one look at the difference in insurance cost (even though they are essentially the same car) convinced me the WRX300 would be the better buy in the long term. Got it for 18K with 40 miles on the clock. Previous car was a P reg golf GTi 16V - the scoob is def. a much nicer drive and much more power to boot. Did consider an STi but was alot more money - plus I (or should that be the girlfriend..??) didn't like the spoiler. Absolutely zero probs so far.

Having said that I have this to say to WRX300MAN :

WRX300's are SH*TE

HPLovecraft needs a woman to decide what car he drives!Loooooser!!Best stick to your GTi 16v Squire! Sounds quite exciting!... . .I suspect HPLovecraft is related to stilover, and then to George Michael!
