On my last car an MY99 run down from Aberdeen back to London got 378miles running on vapors Normally got about 230.

New car MY00 regually get 275-285 and mostly within the M25.

At Brands on Friday got 130 to a full tank with 2 bottles of miller , but worth every penny.

Alex and all,

I was talking to Simon De B about this earlier, and he mentioned that when he used to drive a WRX, £25 worth of either SUL or 95 would get him to work and back. So the SUL yielded better MPG but was dearer.

I got 300 miles out of my first tank of SUL before 1st service), but was forced to fill up with 95 at the weekend, and have so far got 82 miles out of half a tank!

Seriously confused of MK

Around 300 miles typically from a tank on my MY00, although this has been as low as 140 miles (approx 12mpg) on an enthusiastic drive up to the lakes. Mixed driving, but mainly long runs.

Note - be very careful with the warning light. I was driving on the motorway at approx 80mph the other week and the light had been on for around 10miles. I pulled off up a left hand slip road and ran out of fuel as I made the turn. Fortunately, there was a parking place that I could coast to approx 1/4 mile down the road.

I then managed to get it started again, and nursed it to the petrol station approximately 2miles further down the road.

The moral of this story? don't turn left when the fuel light is on!

On SUL, 300 try as I might! Never a problem even when driving like a tit.

MY93 WRX just got 24.9 mpg from my last tank and that was with a 50 mile blast at the Bradford meet last weekend. I seem to be getting about 260 miles to a tank (a bit less for the first few weeks a had it but I'm being a bit more sensible now)

Skipjack, I think I read your post the way you intended it. I wouldn't seriously expect to double fuel economy just by changing the exhaust. (Hence the ) PS any extra mileage has got to be a bonus

I get about 220 miles per tank. Very short commuting distance though, Link ECU, UK MY96, SUL.
