Very poor show, they were broadcasting from a greasy spoon cafe.
Tim Lovejoy should stick to what he is good at, Soccer AM.

I quite liked the last series. However, I found this episode painful to watch. I had recorded it while out and just seen it. Thank goodness for the skip function on my PVR. Used as much for the program as the adverts. Now deleted the offending data from the HDD...

I wonder if anyone from Fifth gear sees this thread.....its rare that there is any thread on ScoobyNet where we are all in agreement.
That is the measure of just how truely awful your current format of Fifth Gear is (if you are reading). So please, change it while you still have a chance.

bad bad bad bad bad. Just watched the show. Waste of time. Self-driving Golf was semi-interesting, but the whole show was actually really rather painful.
Mini vs radio control car, Evo vs plane. Really what is the point.
Not even light entertainment. I won't be setting the vid for the next one.

What utter utter CRAP!!
The saving grace is that I didn't have to watch it on a ****e LCD or PLASMA with all their faults and inability to produce a moving picture!!
I would, quite probably, have topped myself!!!
I turned over half way through anyway ...................... what garbage!
Pete

Just watched it through sky+ this morning... Complete and utter drivel...
A car lovers programme where they destroy cars
A car lovers programme co presented by Sky Sports one trick pony, Lovejoy
A car lovers programme where planes racing cars has been done before (has it not) on a rival show?
Oh yes, and I cant wait for the mass produced Aygo DJ car well worth 10minutes airtime
It was nearly as bad as Vroom Vroom and I too shall not watch another episode of this series

Looks like they are trying for a 'yoof' demographic, all the boxes ticked
1. Moronic 'mockney' geezer presenter
2. Lame 'shock' items like the car crushing
3. Something to appeal to the 'kids'- Aygo at creamfields
4. Include some toys ie a race between a mini and model car FFS
I didn't manage to get as far as Tiff's 'air race' but I don't like that sort of crap when it's on TG never mind a pale imitation of it. I mean cars racing pushbikes, aeroplanes and boats what the **** is that ****?
There hasn't been a less succesful revamp of a show that I can remember. I'll put up with almost any crap involving cars ie used car roadshow no matter how bad but this plumbed new depths.
However I will be watching next week to see if it's possible for it to sink any lower.

Saw it as well - moving the 'studio' to the Ace cafe might have seemed like a good idea to someone, but it really doesn't work does it.
Tim Who? I thought Lovejoy sold antiques...
How did they manage to stretch the content out to cover a whole hour?
Racing a car against a..... zzzzzzz.
Thank goodness I was doing my washing/cleaning the cooker at the same time which, on reflection, was rather more entertaining

She did look a bit Sketetor in the face though. Her looks have gone right down hill over the past couple of years.
Saying that though, I probably still would

I loved thought it was witty,original,amusing........
Nah only kidding it used to have the odd redeeming feature or review of a vehicle Top gear hasn,t covered.
But my god that was awful how can they so obviously rip off Top gear with the Plane race

Thing is it would be extremely easy to make a program that would have people drooling in anticipation. At least I think it would.
A simple formula, do a few new car tests and actually test them, hammer the crap out of them on a real life roads and situations rather than some shat race against a model car.
Have some opinionated tw@t renta-mouth on there doing a 'magazine' style segment. Could be as simple as going somewhere and winding up some SUV drivers or hassling the local boy racer community. Or even something serious like making some 'safety' camera bods look stupid on film.
Run a weekly 'Versus' feature. Very simple this one take 2 cars from any era that petrolheads wet themselves over and do a track comparison and ownership comparison.
Steal top gears idea of doing challenges ie is it possible to beat a Ferrari from one end of the coutry to the other- in a £250 shed.
More hot girls not wearing much
Job done.
