I have one of the rarest Imprezas in the United Kingdom now. It is a completely original one Jap and one British owner 1996 C-Series GF8 SportsWagon. It has covered 70,000 miles, never registered in the UK, although maintained correctly (cambelt and oil last year at a local specialist) and absolutely everything is as FHI intended, down to the air filter element and the pea shooter exhaust.
I wonder whether there is even one other car like this in the country?
Also: Tony is right about early WRX Type-RAs - they were available in Feather White and Vivian Red and then Feather White and Active Red until the 1997 model year when red was dropped.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the email re the 1995 Prodrive Edition, this was all a bit of a smoke and mirrors case, there were actually 27 cars produced in 1994-95 based on the pre-facelift car(TD turbo'd car with the smaller angled intercooler)these cars were purchased as standard cars from the dealership then transported down to Prodrive for kitting out,all parts of the 'edition' were available individually, but when purchased in whole the cars were plaqued & numbered just on front of the gearstick on the dashboard.Early cars had the year of conversion first(94XXXX,95XXXX)
Available options were as follows,Performance upgrade reputed to have 240hp,recaro fishnet interior(as fitted to the later Mcrae edition)Bilstein susp.,carbon or wood trim, ramair filter and stainless cat back exhaust with prodrive branding, high level rear spoiler, momo gearknob and a choice of 16'' or 17'' alloys by Speedline(gold or silver finish)(safaris, chrono's or allesio's)PIAA front driving lights with covers.
This continued into 96,97 and 98,with cars being delivered to the dealership then transported back down to Banbury to be fettled.Latterly you could fit 4 different options from the 'WR' range, these were interior package, performance package, styling package and handling package. These could be chosen individually or when taken as a whole, the vehicles were branded as 'WR Sport' cars.
I myself had both a 96 and 98 car both fully spec'd.Hope the above answers your email enquiry.
Regards
