Try hardcore or R&B for learning to scratch, I learnt by having a westwood CD on one deck and the numark samples CD with the main samples like Ahh Yeah and Break.

Have a look at DJ Keltechs vid section Here

He is awesome! He's one of my idols
Live, at the right venue, i.e. Unit One in Scousepool, Rob is a beast. I really dont rate MCing although I have to put up with it at some of the places i like to go (usually not Unit One tho).

thnx for your help, you never know one day I might get to play clubs - at the mo i am building on my skills and building up my "record" collection.

Will check out the vids at work tomorrow!

Cheers Rob - Remember those decks in my Bedroom mate

Well they are actually a figment of both our imaginations (They don’t exist!), I think we've both lost it mate, well according to EXSCOOBY anyway

**** it, I have nothing to prove to him or anyone else. I am a vinyl DJ & whilst I do use CD (occasionally) lets not get away from the facts here

DJ'ing started on Vinyl, granted CD's & CD decks are more commonly used than in previous years, but Vinyl is still used, its shallow minded ****** like him who will phase vinyl out

I really don’t give a flying **** that you’ve run a record store TBH, (past tense) – You obviously couldn’t make a go of that – Is that why your career as a DJ failed? I’ve played many places & proved my worth both mixing and competency in music historics.

Yes, you can scratch using CD decks & yes you can mix on CD Decks, but that’s not the point.

I am not going to rise to some complete illiterate prat who cant even spell

RLE never claimed to know anything about DJ’in, the first post on this thread was by Criss – to identify the DJ’s on here.

So to clarify –

I am a DJ
I use Vinyl & CD (preference is vinyl)
I have nothing to prove

One thing I must add, if EXSCOOBY was a DJ & has given up, Why would your wishlist be for 2 Technics CD turntables, surely at 34 it would be a complete waste of time & money

I never said Vinyl was the way forward, I quoted it as to where DJ'ing all started from

I am not wasting time to comment on here anymore

Not only are you illiterate, you are crap with punctuality!

I deem your qualifications to be bull****!

Maybe you should go back to school & learn English

FYI – I don’t “fanny around playing bars” anymore, I have better things to do, been there, done that & am happy to share my experiences with people

Anyway, go find another thread to hijack, you sad tosser – I think I speak for us all here

No one gives a **** what you have to say (read the history on these pages) get a grip, act your age.

If you don’t have anything constructive to add, go to Start, Shut down & jump on a plain to your “Family Villa”
