I switched to a proper rotary ages ago- find it to be a hell of a lot smoother and gives a lot more control, especially on long mixes. Obviously it suits some styles better than others

Question

Exscooby,

whats with the tude?

I do find it strange that you've been DJing for '20 years' but still have perfect hearing. I've been DJing less than half that and there's no question that my hearing has suffered, esp in my left ear (headphones ear)

Ps. can you get me on a mailing list????

2 ***** and a crossfader will do me TBH

i have a battered old Gemini mixer here with the cross fader in bits, i used to strip it down every 3/4 months and clean the tracks with brasso to stop the crackling, only there is no tracks left now

i was doing a live set for afterhoursdjs.org and the cross fader shat out bigstyle

i have never used them since

I play mainstream D & B. But only the big anthems!

Great for scratching over too!

I had a gemini mixer and it kept breaking from cutting the fader too much!

Now I have a digital cross fader which is the dogs rollocks

Always had a soft spot for it, love the rolling drums and heavy bass lines which make your eyes water and your tummy turn(Well in my car)
