I think so. Your files opened up in explorer when I downloaded them so I saved them (as bitmaps) which I could then open in photoshop, which finally (!) gave me the option to save as gifs...
Bit worrying as I used to save images as gifs all the time for the website I ran and no doubt will have to do the same in my new job....
