Maybe we need a poll that says I bought a subaru because:
The first two probably apply to the majority of people who have been on here for more than 2 years.
I imagine the last applies to majority of the newer Scoobynetters who have lusted after the marque, but were restricted by price. Or who just wanted the iconic recognition they saw people getting before the sales and import explosion 5-6 years ago.
Personally, the mans car does not float my boat, but it looks no differeent to a lot of the other cars I see young guys driving around. with the exception that this one has 200bhp and not 50bhp.
This is the 'custom car' style of todays young buyer.
- The way it drove.
- The way it looks and sounds.
- Because its a SUBARU.

Soulgirl , the only reason I ridiculed Mr_impreza's 'car' is cause its crap , and i am quite entitled to do so , because he invited me .. and this forum is full of wonderful advice , great chat and some mad banter , the only reason why its so popular is because views are freely expressed , even view such as yours that would have us all gagged and lusting after smart cars with pink spoilers , so calm down take a chill pill and hope that your car never looks that bad ..

Anyway, I digress (sorry). As far as Scoobs are concerned, I'm not keen on the front splitter, but, hey, each one to their own.
PS I also bought my car for the way it drives - note the M3 driver who came on last week who said he preferred driving his new STi cross country, because he felt too on edge when driving the M3.
