On the other hand if you have both sets blasting on a dark unlite motorway then you'd be providing a very helful service should any aircraft need to make an emergency landing!
Ok guys just a quick update... about the 'flicking' between beams and power spikes... I've been told that the technical bods at Genuine Autos are hot on getting an answer for you regarding that so hold tight!
Also some of you mite notice that the eBay page of Genuine Auto is down, dont panic, this is just due to the server at their end, but it will be back up asap - this will NOT affect you being able to make payments and for your goods to be delivered, I have been assured of that!

How quickly did you get your tracking number after sending payment via Paypal? I placed my order yesterday but haven't had a response from Xenonlightsource yet; should I be worried?

Sorry to cause a cufuffle! Reason why I asked the apparant 'noob' question is when I looked on ebay it says "Sorry, this store has been closed." - I presumed this had now ended.
I'll e-mail the guy and see if this is still on.

Had a delay on mine but it was Paypal (not genuine's fault) waiting to clear funds. Funds cleared last 11/12 and kit arrived 15/12. Fitted yesterday to Blobeye STi. Put ballasts on shelf under headlights as per Jason's suggestion but held in place with cable ties rather than sticky pads. Had to change one narrow connector on relay harness to match up with OE earth connector on NS lamp. Took me 2.5 hours.
Very impressed with quality of wiring and connectors, Subaru could do with lessons from this mob. Went for 4300K as I was not worried about "blue" and just want max light. These are very bright, they make the Halfords "super brilliance" in my mains look positively dingy.
One warning: Even though bulbs definitely seated properly the headlight alignment needed tweaking a bit, never had to before when swapping Phillips VP bulbs. Not a huge amount but enough on one light to annoy oncomers and we don't want that.
Many thanks to Genuine.

I too had to adjust the height of the drivers side down a little after fitting. Easy enough and the fact that I've not been flashed is a good sign. Might pop into a local MOT bay in the new year to check alignment properly. (although the pattern on the garage door is within subaru's recommended alignment spec.)
I'd have gone for the 4300k with hind sight as the 6000k definitely have a blueish tinge about them. Still VERY good though, shame about how they make the side and head lights look so ****e..!

Jason,
Phillips do a 3400K (yes 3400) ordinary 5W filament bulb for the side lights which would look a bit better. Trouble is you have to take the headlights off the car to fit them so I can't be bothered unless one of them blows sometime.
Thanks for your advice, without it I'd have never have found the shelf.
and any other location would have been a pain.
Merry Christmas, Diccy.

The problem with LED side lights in the blobeye scoob is that they sit at a slight angle and most LEDs are ****e if not looked at directly IYSWIM..?

I know what you mean mate... There are some LED's with periferal bulbs (point out sideways)... I have UV LED's in my side lights and with UV you want the bulb directly pointing out so that you fully appreciate the fuzzy look.
I've just got hold of new UV LED's with periferal facing bulbs! Happy days!
This company is the bolox for LED's... Velocity LED's

Another satisfied customer! Glad you're happy with them and I agree with you that there's no need for full beam HID's, unless you finicy about stuff like that and want them all to match!
What colour did you go for?
