Hi Chris,

To order you need to...

Payments can be made through Paypal – genuine.auto@gmail.com

Here is the info they need when you check out:

1. Bulb size
2. colour temp
3. daytime phone #
4. reference group buy 177

For ALL Classics with std (not morette) lights you will need one bi-xenon kit which does dips and full beam.

£135 (£113 + £22 shipping).

Cheers
Alex

hid kit all fitted and working ok found the best place on blobeye to fit ballasts is on top of chassis under headlamps jusy self tapped the brackets and used some anti corosion wax around screws and the holes i drilled.
also plug and play method on wiring does not work so would advice to spend extra 20 minutes fitting the wiring harness and relay that were supplied.
with lamps out took opportunity to de tango, fit led side light bulbs and sprayed the chrome light insert matt black, instead of spending £20 on silvertec i bought standard w21w in orange and sprayed them with chrome radiator paint achieved same look as £20 ones for a couple of quid
all in all the effort to do all this has been worth it the appearence of the lamps is much better

Finally got to fit my HID kit today , Cant believe the difference , most impressed with the kit !!!!!!!!
Only trouble is now the 6000k light output makes my white LED sidelights look really blue campared to what they used to look like against crappy standard headlights !!
Anyone got some good recomendations for super white sidelight bulbs/leds ???

Thanks to alex_00s for this group buy !!!

As of today I'm just tying up a few loose ends after which I will not have the chance to log on so much and therefore wont be available as often to answer any questions.

If its a general question that can not be answered by any other memembers on this GB then please email Genuine Auto...

genuine.auto@gmail.com

Any urgent matters can be pm'ed to me and I will deal with them asap.

Just remember this does not mean the GB is closed... you can still benefit from these fantastic HID kits for an almost unlimited time! Just follow payment and info instructions on page 1.

I went for the 4300k option and I'm extremely happy with the results but one of my bulbs appears slightly more blue than the other. I don't think its two different colours, just a variation within one colour (if that makes sense!). Has anyone else noticed this?

And also, for the first few miles after they get turned on, one of the bulbs appears to flicker for half a second - it never goes off completely but it's very noticeable when driving. I thought it might be the high/low beam adjuster getting road vibrations but it stil does it when stationary and with the engine off too.

Anybody else experienced this?

(Bulbs have been in for a month and used every night)

Regards,
Paul

Do you not know anyone that has paypal that could sort it for you?

I'm pretty sure its a paypal only transaction... but you could email Genuine Auto to double check.

FYI: if payment is made by paypal, items can only be sent out to the paypal address.

hi, when you say bi-xenon what do you mean?
i've an stiv3 1997 i think she uses H4 for main/dip beam.
won't the hid lights melt the glass?

Bi-Xenon means it'll do both main and dipped beam. Some cars use a different bulb for dipped and main beam, so when upgrading to hids, you need two kits, but cars like the classic Impreza use one H4 bulb to do both, so you buy a bi-xenon kit to do both beams.

And HIDs actually operate cooler, so no they won't melt.

Yep, ALL classics have the H4 bulb which does the dip and main beam.

6000k is a popular choice, but you can go 8000k, 10000k or even 12000k if you so choose!

Can those with Classics using the H4 bulb give me some feedback.
Are these bi-xenon kits ?
While I accept they will be brighter (4000/4300) what is the effect on range of vision.
Any other comments relating to the H4 HID replacement would be appreciated.

Harvey: Yes Classics are Bi kits. Still only one element but has a motor on the back which steps the bulb angle up for hi/lo.

4300k will be the brightest and is what I have on mine. As you go up the colour/temps the light is reduced. Beam pattern is good with crystal headlights, not sure about earlier headlights.

IIRC the weight of the whole kit was just under 2kgs. Around half the power consumption of conventional bulbs.

Thanks for that Bob. Any comment on the range and performance on dipped and full beam.
