i think your fastest speed on the sector was a couple of tenths slower (in mph) than mine (in your final timed lap), you must have had some exit speed though with that little VF35 to get there though!! madness! i think stu was 2mph slower and terry 5mph.

Thanks for the sentiment!
The most time I had on track at any of the timeattack events was at knockhill, where the car was handling less well than any of the other events. Curiously I pushed more there than anywhere. At Donington we weren't able to string more than one lap together without being called in or yellow flagged/lighted for a large portion of the track. The guys that already know both their cars and the track half well just got right down to business. I was just starting to find my way round in the first session and it was halted. The laptime was 1.26 something and I was just going round at quarter-half throttle mostly and changing at 6k RPM.
From a safety point of view, drag racing has cost me much more than a few trips to the gravel have this year!
I know it's within the car and myself to be competitive, but I need time to setup the car and myself prior to the TA event days. The way it's worked this year, the "practice" is just a little test to make sure the car is doing what it should and then straight into the hotlap. Turning up and expecting to get any sensible tracktime prior to the hotlap is not realistic.
If the car is good and properly competitive at the start of next year I'll consider doing TA again. But for the money I would rather go to some quality track days and do competitve sprinting and/or hillclimbing.

Paul, it was dissapointing to see what happened yesterday, which is why i helped you and David to try and get ready for another attempt. Your car was really the only one i was interested in (sorry to the other scoobs), as i witnessed so much of its develop, very close hand.
Mayeb, just maybe, we will see what happens next year.
Our attempt to run, ending up costing a fortune!
Did you mention Farce somehwere?

Cheers for the help. I was gutted yesterday. Pissed off with myself, pissed off with Timeattack, pissed off with busybody neighbours of Donny that can hear a performance car over cat A aircraft noise. Just generally pissed off.
Next weekend had better make up for it!

I think everyone was to exhausted to party much over the weekend but we're going to take everyone out next week
I thought the day was going to go horribly wrong when at the Driver briefing they mentioned the 98db noice limit Taking it easy around certain parts of the circuit meant that Phil ran a blistering 92 mph down the straights in practice and avoided any Black flags Still the final went to plan but I was getting a little worried about the rain clouds coming especially as we were one of the last out.
The mods to the car seem to work perfectly as well so there was a double sence of achievement. It was also good to be able to compare the car to the fast open wheelers as well.
Stew did really well in the Club class considering his car is in such a mild state of tune.
Regards

Well done to Litcho & Phil & the Powerstation boys for consistent running from day one, Many thanks again to all of you guys who competed and took the time to make the events as good as they were.
Bit of a downer that we had to share the finals with another event but we had no choice and rather than have no show we managed to do the best we could given the tools at our disposal, the noise limit was a bit of a bitch but I think everyone got to do their hot laps ok.
Thanks again, thanks to Shaun for allowing me to contact you all via the board and roll on 2007!
