in traffic yesterday left lane busy as hell my lane clear on dual carridge way with.

coming up to some lights that stop the traffice and realise i need the left lane.

so traffic stops i put left indiactor on and perhaps turned the wheel half a turn to go into a gap at 1 mile and hour when this *** head ina fooked old nissan with l plates on it floors up the inside to keep me out.

shouting all sorts of profanitys at me, so i just start mouthing pardon back at him to wide him up more. the lights change and he floors it again of. I pull in behind im and turn of giving him alittle wave.

in my younger and stupider days i would have got out and pulled his head off but i just thought go on little man your only jelous of the scoob

lol Ginge, I had the same experience on Saturday, same situation, coming off a roundabout but the traffic on the last junction stays bumper to bumper hoping to push out but I still have to take my exit so 'pushed in' if you like and did the old wave thing... Well it was the wrong person wasnt it Im no fighter but this guy was massive and came stopping over to the car when I hit the traffic lights. punched my window screen numerous times, I was gob smacked, I laughed at him and wound my window down a cm or so and told him to give way to traffic from his right on the roundabout etc etc instead he decided to kick my car then gesture to all 3 of us in the car for a fight I was in a reno 5, god knows how he didnt dint the car cause he kicked it with some force but realised this morning hes knocked the bloody window off its runners, I wound my window down for the first time since and now it wont go back up

Some crazy people out there, he even had a couple of kids in the car approx 7yrs old. Great person to look up to eh.

A great story well told ginge . I've had my fair share of roadrage incidents in my time, non of which I have ever instagated knowingly, but have found twice that waving leads to violence for some strange reason

I was driving home one night, when a car full of little ***** pulled out in front of me, I flashed in annoyance & they proceeded to give me the fingers

Now I was at a junction turning right, I applied full lock and turned left, unlucky for them that the set of lights to the left of that junction had just turned red

I exited my car & walked calmy to theirs (My mate, uttered “Oh ****, don’t Mark, please”

The back window was down & there was a lad with 2 lasses at the far side of him, I leant in the car (didn’t touch him) and said “didn’t expect me to stop do you, you little ******!? Next time you wont be as fortunate”

He frantically wound the window up & stopped laughing before they drive off

I’m normally a very placid person, but I cant do with kids who are barely out of nappies driving like dicks!

Maybe the woman had just got some terrible news like found out her husband was banging her sister or something... hard to explain why she would react in such a way. Either way, I generally avoid confrontation in such situations despite being able to handle myself pretty well - never know what state of mind the other person is in, whether they are on crack, coke or whatever... usually, but not always, let it slide.

This kind of psychotic behaviour is getting more prevalent these days. I have had similar experiences in such mindless behaviour twice now, for totally innocent reasons.

Its a worry because you never know whether they have lost it enough to pull out a knife or gun on you.

Had a similar female of the species behind me once at the lights onto the M25 at Junc. 18. The lights turned red, I think that means stop ?! So I accorded with the law of the highways. This silly little tramp in the car behind me went into one ! You've never seen the like of it ......well you have Little Ginge ..... she was incandescent with rage. I sat there and feared for the lives of her fellow motorists on the motorway.

this thread is funny.

i had a woman in lane 2 of the m25 in some vauxhaul people carrier thingy indicate to pull into lane 3, when i was in lane 3, about 10 ft from the back of her car.

she was doing about 45, and i was doing 65-70.

so i had the choice of, jumping on the brakes and risking the car behind stoving into me, loosing 3mm of brake pads, or carrying on and letting her wait.

so i let her wait.

blimey, the hand gesture she threw at me as i went past was amazing.

like it was a matter of live or death, that i should have let her go.

suffice to say, she was behind me at 50 for a long while, while a played with the radio, changed the temperature a few times, dipped and undipped my rear view mirror, and generally amused myself.

i hope she missed her flight/appointment/counselling/ or what ever she was in a rush for.

I had to restrain my temper last night...joining the A66 in Middlesbrough on the evening...fairly busy but not bumper-to-bumper (rarely is) and there's a red Saxo about 100 yards ahead of me as I start to come down the slip road...

Moving from a 30mph zone to the 50mph A66 I start to speed up on the slip road, pop the signal on, quick check over the shoulder to see how the lane is doing....when suddenly...OH MY GOD - the red Saxo has stopped at the end of the slip road as if it is a give way and is waiting for a long gap in traffic...

Have to put the anchors on rather sharpish...and then pull round them...where upon they flash their lights at me and give me the V's...

One of the things I don't get is why people feel it is 'okay' to behave in this way just because they are behind the wheel of a car. Would you give someone the finger in the supermarket if they blocked your way to the beans or scream your head off if they caused a minor blockage down the aisle with their trolly?

It's pretty pathetic really and sometimes I do understand why people get out their cars and kick the ****e out of some punk or toff who has just abused them over a minor incident. It is also bizzare how some women seem to suddenly feel it's okay for them to behave in this way - I know blokes really shouldn't be physical with a women but one day they could well find themselves in a rather unexpected and unpleasent situation if they came accross someone who 'just snapped'.

Great thread!

Had a similar experience last week. On the route to work there is a small section of dual carriageway early in the journey and then the rest is single carriageway with very busy on-coming traffic. So I'm on the dual carriageway and I spot this notoriously slow moving lorry up ahead (been stuck behind it in a queue of traffic more times than I can count), so naturally I decide I want round it before it reaches the roundabout.
As I am catching it I pull out to overtake and an audi TDi a fair bit in front of me does too (or so I thought). Still plenty of time left but the audi then just sits there, not overtaking. I wait maybe 10 seconds but nothing. There being plenty of room and figuring the guy must be going to turn right at the roundabout I pull back in and take on the inside, then back out and past the lorry and back in again ready for going straight on at the roundabout. I slow approaching the roundabout, then glance in my mirror to see this moron sat about 2 feet off my bumper, face as red as a beetroot, shaking his fists, almost foaming at the mouth etc. Tw*t was going straight on anyway! Don't like this so coming off the roundabout I decide to put some distance between us by depressing my right foot until I hit the 60 limit. He eventually catches up with me and sits there almost pushing me along until he eventually turns off. Upset me for the rest of the day, I don't like this kind of behaviour.

Had the same sort of incident a few weeks ago where the bypass goes from two lanes to one 'merge in-turn' as directed by the signs. I began to merge inturn and the guy I was going to merge in front of decided that merging wasnt his bag and forced me into on coming traffic.

I calmly backed off and dropped in behind where I saw him waving his fist at me in an aggresive manner but stayed calm as I didnt want any bother especially as I had my wife in the car with me.

The road went to two lanes again as we got near to town and he lowered his passenger window commenting on my lack of hair and the fact that I may have a few extra pounds but I stayed calm.

He pulled off down a side street and it just so happens I was going that way, he pulled up outside a house and I calmly jumped out and met him at his car door and dragged him out of his car and calmy showed him the error of his ways.

I smile at him when I see him most evenings!! His doesnt smile back though.

Sarah wasnt impressed

As a rule I never beep, only when someone doesnt see me coming. I never beep to show I'm annoyed, to be honest I dont get annoyed.

had someone try to get into my car after I apparently cut them up, locked the door and told em to **** off.
