Would love to get an extremely low 12 or high 11 at it's current spec on a nice cool day down the 1/4..... probably the last chance to do it before the spanners come back out.

You are too kind sir - I may take you up but I must consider the following...
You are 1/2 as tall as me again and at least twice as heavy
See you on Sunday

aye, looks like the right hand lane (as you go down it) goes up more than the left, ever so slightly.

I'm told a good launch is in the 1.8's (60 ft)
I'm sure i can get quicker, just need to get technique right, and take into account where others have had their 1/4 mile recorded. peoples times always seem to be quicker at other drag strips, dunno if its to do with surface or timing gear etc?

A good launch is 1.7s. A great launch is 1.6s.

My two runs at Japshow Finale last year:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owns-sY2Ou0 (Me vs RX7)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGBIlJApWnQ (Me vs Supra)
Sat for over an hour in queues getting into Pod.....then over an hour to sign on.....then began the wait to run......2 runs in the whole day! And missed all the action on the strip. Only time I spent away from the cars and queues was at lunch and a little bit at the end. Never again.

Well that was cack
Over revved first run and got 3 gears of rev limiter but not much forward motion car still stinks of fried clutch LOL - 17 sec
2nd run a lot more cautious as in too much and no revs at start and 15.1
3rd run a few more revs (but not enough) a small bog and another 15.1
Times are reported times as I didn't go and collect slips...
What I did find was that I had to get into 5th to cross the line - thats 1 more change than I was using with PTMW! PPP getting 13.5. I'm sure that won't help but wondering if there's a better way to use the gears to get better times.
However, I need more runs to practice my start
LOL
At least it's the starting benchmark I wanted

I managed to get 5 runs in on saturday between 10 and 11.
Best was a 13.3, but all runs were within 2 tenths of a second, so consistent (consistently crap!) 60ft times 3x 1.9 1x 1.8 1x 2.0
Some runs i went by the lights, others i 'waited' and blipped throttle as i've read on forums in here.
Same here with the gears, dunno to change earlier, going across line in 4th in the red? brand new tyres perhaps (pulling out all the excuses).
Anyway, not really bothered about 1/4 mile anymore, gonna concentrate on track more now.

Yep, was at Rotorstock - had a leak in the up-pipe though that weekend and ran slower than usual.
Standard UK engine with the usual bolt ons - rusty TD05 turbo, STi TMIC, induction, uprated gearsets (std ones didnt last long ) ), AndyF remap and the usual supporting mods.
Might be going on the weekend if the weather is okay.

I ran yesterday. First time drag racing so wasn't expecting too much.
My times were:
1st run
14.021s @ 100.66mph
2nd run
14.318s @ 99.32mph
3rd run
14.420s @ 100.03mph
Thats what I can work out from the slips anyway.
One of the lads I travelled down with said, "You're supposed to get F'ing faster not F'ing slower"
My 1st run video:

Vid quality isn't too good as it's only off the digi camera but it's watchable.
