Anyway what I said is perfectly true, the beers I mentioned are brewed for profit not for quality.
If you must drink it here are some decent lagers
http://www.haake-beck.de/historie/historie1836.asp not to be confused with 'Becks' also brewed in Bremen (that said Becks is better than ****e like Kronenbourg)
or

or maybe

I could go on but it's like putting pearls before swine.
Don't you think it's somewhat tragic that many of you live in a country which has a unique beer tradition yet you prefer to drink bland poor quality crap served so cold you can't actually taste it? Don't even get me started on that magners **** you've all been lapping up like pigs at the trough.
Morons.

Moving on I'm only too happy to share my epicurean knowledge with those that might benefit. Indeed I have a track record of doing so.

The standard stuff is just like all the other cheapies, acceptable but kind of ordinary, what you want is this stuff, used to nick it whilst I worked at Manchester airport on the bar, once the bosses went home just used to stand drinking free beer, obviously we took the most expensive.
Have not seen it for ages
Plus theres always the old tramp juice, which I sadly kind of like

I'm being done, my local asda is only doing 20 cans for £8, I went in the other night to get a few things and only had a few quid on me so had to go and get more money.

Revelling in such ignorance is what actually makes you stupid. That and the fact you're educationally subnormal.
As for the other question I can't think of many of my friends who choose to drink
Carlsberg, Stella, Kronenbourg or any of that other hyped up, over advertised yet poor quality expensive 'premium' crap.

For a start it's brewed in local markets to save money. Anyone who knows anything about brewing will tell you that the 'liquor' is an important part of taste. In the UK Whitbread make this 'Belgian' beer. The stuff you buy in the UK doesn't taste anything like that you'd get in Belgium (not that it's great there either)
The UK version use less saas hops (that give it the flavour) and isn't brewed for as long a period of time. It also contains 20% "adjuncts"- whatever they are, I suspect sugar added instead of malt, cheaper to brew.
Furthermore it's part of Inbev (nee Interbrew) who are dedicated to producing homogenised brands and closing down interesting brewers, for that reason alone it should be avoided. Let alone the fact you're paying through the nose for a beer marketed as 'premium' that is in fact sub standard at best.
Belgian premium product? It's made in Luton and marketed to numpties as something of high quality, which it plainly isn't.
"Reassuringly Expensive" to buy but "reassuringly cheap to make"
A few years ago many of you drongos were drinking 'Hofmeister', nuff said.

£2 more per 24 can crate than a crate of carling (my standard for "basic" larger) is hardly a massive difference though. Not that I buy either, just I notice the prices whilst in the cash and carry.
