Hope your still enjoying the 202.
SHAM S202 does not sound like an S202 to me, or if it is it has changed beyond recognition. These are cars best kept (reasonably) standard.

It's quite possible it might be an S202, however, it's certainly had the front end updated from the normal bugeye S202 (as seen in Rasher's and the other pictures) to the blobeye front end. I very much doubt it came out of the factory like that as the blobeye "S20X" version is actually S204, as shown in the pictures above.
Don't suppose you happen to have a picture of the rear of this alleged S202 do you?

I went over here and then searched for "subaru". I saw an entry for the alleged S202, which happens to have pictures of the rear (see below).
The site also has a yellow car car listed as an S202 as well, at least this time it's a bugeye car, but it doesn't have the normal carbon spoiler you'd see on the S202.
I thought I'd nab the pictures from the site, the first lot are of the alleged blue v8 S202 and the others are of the yellow S202

Blue one is a modded bug eye surely. It has a pull out antenna in the a pillar they stopped that on the 02 Bugeye did they not. Also has 8K redline indicative of Spec C, of course clock sets can be retro fitted I guess.
Neither has a strutbrace either

STICKY ICKY ,MICKY, that blue s202 from keighley trade centre was ours before. we gave it to keighley in august.and it was a rocket would rip up you 12 second car lol. the pictures above show the car in its full glory the blue version 8 s202 was ours that other yellow one i beleive to be fake. The back box on our version 8 was a de-cat 4,2,1 combo from the manifold. with s202 ball bearing turbo and ej20 engine. Also for just all you who think it has front end damage sorry to dissapoint but it was side damage lol.

Yeh hi mates also look above at the version 8's original s202 interior with special mopmo steering wheel and special s202 dash, with also no central diff buttons that you would normally find on a version 8 sti. Also lads the s202 plaque can just be spotted on the interor picture behind the gearsknob.

Doesn't mater what plaque etc, the s202 was a version 7 (bug eye) only car, the version 8 S special was called a version 8 S203, and it aint one of those.
thast what were trying to tell you, if you bought it before and was told it was a s202, well i'm afraid you've been had by who ever you bought it form

Where is the front mounted oil cooler?
Why is the front S202 grille badge mounted on the wrong side?
Where are the S202 front wing stickers?
Where are the lightweight Rays magnesium alloys?
Where is the rear S202 boot badge?
You have the interior of an S202 and some badges. Great.
