Would you look at an Audi S6 and deem it ****e, over a RS6 which has the bodykit, extra badges - I think not
I wouldn't do either of those things. I wouldn't buy a car at top whack and I wouldn't put a body kit on any car.

I think the point is here that outside of a few old men who should know better and some little boys that nobody thinks stickered up cars are good, cool or whatever you want to call it.

Its all down to personal preference

Would you stand at the side of the WRC team & say

"Nice car lads & Well done so far, shame about the fcukin ****e graphics on it tho"?

How true.

Maybe we should start a new poll for Vapid....
Why do you come on scoobynet:
A) I actually like Subarus
B) I like performance cars
C) I enjoy interacting with like minded people
D) I am a sad attention seeker who gets aroused by winding people up

All of the above.

I didn't respond to the comment as it didn't warrant it. If that's what you want to believe I guess it makes it better for you..................

In any case none of this mitigates from the fact that stickered up cars make the driver look a laughing stock to the majority of people.

You were the one who thought it, I had imagined you meant mentally aroused rather than sexual. Takes all sorts eh?

So whats your intention Vapid?

Do you

A) Forget about this thread and leave it to die a horrid death

B) Stop each and every Subaru driver and ask their opinion, so you can work out a ratio

May i suggest you use this concept

Age Groups

20 - 30
31 - 40
41 - 50
51 - 60

You could then gain an overall percentage rating for each age group, for a positive/negative feedback & an overall picture as to what people think of decals on a car?

There is no way of getting a majority cumulative figure on what people think of decals, some people like em & some people dont

All the comments in this thread have been constructive, people will make their own minds up & definitely not be led by a poll on a message board

Moley - (for 2 reasons today!)

My intention in this thread was to find out why people sticker up their cars. Also if it's regarded as a good thing generally or as I think the people that do it are a ******* joke.

So far I've found out some interesting things.

1. Most people who voted, even on this site, think they aren't very good.

2. Some of the people that have stickered up cars have no idea what the majority of people think when they seem them drive past. Or claim not to care (don't believe this one, why else did they sticker up their car other than to get attention?)

3. Moley likes to think about other men in a sexual way.

Stickers work for me on 2 types of car..

The full blown rally rep, and the sponsored car. If your car was sponsored ie like the Scooby clinic demo car then the stickers work well. Or if you have built a full blown WRC refugee then they look good.

Im not into running stickers for the sake of it.. unfortunately there are alot more cars with stickers that look cr@p as opposed to the ones where they look good

Sounds reasonable re: scoobyclinic and their car.

Not so sure about building a WRC replica car and using at as a road car but I suppose I could go with that.

Similarly a Martini liveried Integrale has credibiilty with the 'petrolhead' community that no Subaru ever would have. Have to say though that the average person might still think it's sad in the extreme.

Some examples for you

Very poor- 'humiliation mobiles'

The one above is standard more or less standard mechanically, what's the point in doing that **** to it?

More crap

Chav car, shopping list, has sun strip intimating owner is called barry and is also from essex

A certified cripple car, nice sun strip in case you didn't realise it was a Subaru

As much of a real rally car as some of the other crap-cars we see above
Many more examples of 'toss' motors on this site

A stickered up cars that engender respect rather than laughter

Even when the owner has no intention of racing/rallying it.

True, they are their cars, I was seeking to understand exactly what the motive was as I couldn't believe for the life of me they imagine they actually look good.

Guess it must be the 'face only a mother could love' syndrome.

100%. The guys take their styling inspiration from the WRC. Why alot of them do so is beyond me. I see much fewer LanEvos doing that so why do the Scooby owners have to? There are tasteful ways to go about "stickering up" one's car. Subtlety works wonders guys. Case in point, Nismo's and Ralliart's.

Oh yeah, and i didn't vote cause the option i'm looking for isn't there. "Ok if done tastefully"

Indeed it's my opinion, an opinion shared by almost everyone else in the world.

Some people think the earth is flat, does that make it a valid viewpoint?

Oddly enough the EVO above doesn't look completely stupid like the Subarus we see on this thread.
