glad you are ok mate but for all the high and mighty who comment on accidents, **** happens. loads of people including me and you (and i mean all of you) make mistakes. its just a matter of luck whether you get away with it or not on any particular occasion. if you can survive a full day town driving without an accident then you are doing well due to the amount of cars on the roads these days. please dont get all snobby about it as if you have never had a close call or had an accident. ps, remember if you are driving a scooby then you too are a 4x4 driver !

Gav,

Sorry to hear about your motor. Glad you're ok.

If you need any insurance advice, just ask.

Shouldn't the person who started this thread have asked permission before posting someones car up like this?

If it was me I wouldn't really be pleased having had a crash only to then find it posted up on one of the biggest Scoob forums going. Some people might actually want to keep it quiet that they've just had a bump.

Anyway, glad to see nobody was hurt.

A fair point, But there are a lot of Trolls on scoobynet and as you don't have that many posts to your name people get defensive.

Being an owner of a Scooby, Mitsi Pajero (4x4), and a Transit (for work) . I can give a different angle for different types of vehicles .

How can you hate 4x4 drivers as a whole, same could be said of BMW drivers etc. and the same could be said of Scooby drivers, as the ownership age is getting lower and driver experience less. And I would class the Scooby (badged AWD) technically a 4 wheel drive.

For the record, I was involved in an accident in May which was not my fault, it was the to$$er in the Skoda, and I was glad I was in the '4X4' as I would not have wanted the damage on the scooby, the damage on the Paj was only a couple of scratches (no dents even!!), the damage on the Octavia was :- new wing, new door skin and a new drivers mirror. This was totally his fault, but I do not blame Skoda drivers as a whole.

Rant over

PS hope everything goes okay with getting the Scooby repaired and hope Gav is okay.

My dad drives a Disco so i don't personally hate 4x4's

It is always the minority that ruin it for the rest, just like you get **** heads who drive Scoobs like they stole it. Ruins it for everyone else. I noticed that yesterday when people were walking past, looking at me as if it was my fault and i'm the "young boy racer in his Subaru" and the one at fault. Were all tarred with the same brush

I didn't mind the pic going up, to be honest i was wondering if i would see something on here. I wasn't suprised when there was! But i'm ok, just have a stiff back, neck, wrists and a head ache!
