Look at the spec and see what you get for that £150. No contest.

is £800 mapped then if so where can i map it. do you map it persoanlly?? how far from southampton is it ?. do you travel? would you charge extra fuel for traveling? would i still need a fuel pressure regulator? how many cars have you mapped this chip on?
forgiv me but ive heard little about the sigma and alot about the apexi and to be honest ide rather save myself £150 and be safe in the knowledge i have got a tried and tested product mapped by an experienced well known mapper
dont mean to offend just my personal opinion

Does that mean open loop boost control on the sigma? I think a similar set up to gems, which on my car when mapped was spot on. Perfect boost control, however later on with a few subtle mods here and there I've gone back to a dawes device as the boost control was out. 2 port solenoid btw.

I think drivability was comprimised slightly, as is starting (waiting for the fuel pump to prime every time). from idle throttle response doesn't feel as good as a standard car. Tiney little things but they have begun to grate on me after 3 years of living with that ecu.

I think these things are not an issue with a well mapped apexi (as far as I hear).

Having been there before, doing it again I would go with an apexi. However, now that my needs are different there is no way I'll be changing.

I expect the Sigma to be very similar to the Gems, maybe a more motorsport based ecu. I don't use my car anywhere near as much as I would a standard car as it's almost a chore now in certain respects. I love not having a maf sensor to worry about though

The Sigma is NOT a Gems. You do not have to wait for the fuel pump, there are no cold start, hot start issues.
I was running an Apexi on the same vehicle before fitting the Sigma. It is only because of my good experience with the Sigma that I am now running a Group Buy. I still have the Apexi which is for sale and the Sigma has now eclipsed the Apexi in all signifigant areas, not least in respect of power output.

Lol, maybe I should fit one to my race car then Or maybe I'll just wait until a sigma car goes faster or produces 900+bhp

Asking a dumb question here, How can an ECU create MORE power given everthing else being equal (timing, fueling, boost, etc, etc)?
