Friggin riduculous. What the fek is Neville doing on his own on the right. The only reason hes ever any good going forward is because hes supporting the right midfielder, Rio Im such a fairy watch me ponce around has done 1 thing all night and thats pass it back to Robinson. Change it to 4-4-2 or 4-3-3. We're getting nothing from the wings at all with this sort of play, Least chase the game.

How can you blame either of them for the second goal? **** happens, it's happened before and it will happen again.

But England were shocking tonight. The 3-5-2 formation is a pile of sh!te.

it's worse when you hear people say "they've been unlucky".

What game were they watching? Fair enough the second goal was a fluke but on the rest of the performance they didn't deserve to get anything out of the game.

Couldnt you sense the light heartedness in my post?

And the 3-5-2 isnt always a **** formation to play, Id say it didnt work because of the players we had available, it was never going to work IMO tonight, give us a full strength squad and we could pick a good team from it.

So much for John Terry's 'inspirational' team talk before the game.

If only we had a certain Mr. O'Neill at the helm. I'm certain that McClaren is Sven mark II - he only makes changes when it's too late to claw anything back.

We had nothing going forward and were terrible at the back. I hate to say it, but we deserved to get crushed tonight.

Let the criticism commence, they all deserve nothing less.

Wales - now there's a team!

At least they're being honest about the formation - not like England, playing 5-3-2 but calling it 3-5-2. Cole and especially Neville didn't have any idea what they were supposed to be doing.

Not their fault though, their game revolves around another left or right sided player infront of them.

Hate to say I was right.

I can only remember a handful of games that make me proud. All years ago.

The Holland thrash.Germany thrash and the 2-1 beating of Argentina.

Still say we haven't got a good team and McClaren is pants

Its funny though that everyone wants to comment on something when its not gone right. Yet when we played pretty well with our new manager in his first game nobody has a word to say, they all sit quietly waiting for him to slip up so they can all say I told you so.

We have one of the best football leagues in the world, some of the highest earning players, some of the best facilitys and all of the history that surrounds our game. I expect us to play well considering all those factors and the quality of the players we have, so when we do all is as it should be, not really much call for debate or comment in my eyes.
When we play like we did against Macedonia and Croatia, there has to be questions asked and debate raised about the state of our team and what went wrong.
When was the last time we looked like world beaters?
Is Peter Crouch a world class player?
Whats our best formation?
Is McClaren competent enough to lead us to world domination?

Its doesn`t look very healthy to me

No, I can't blame either of them, I can blame BOTH

Robinson for taking his eye off the ball and having a wild swing when not even under pressure, and Neville..............What can I say? The first thing defenders learn in junior school footy is NOT to pass back between the posts!

And can ANYONE tell me why England go backwards and sideways all the time? Haven't they learned that the hardest thing to do is to take the ball from someone in possesion, moving with it, whereas one of the easiest is to intercept a pass

Whenever Croatia got the ball they RAN at our defence. Not us, 101 passes and we're STILL in the same third of the field!

Al, we'd have a better chance if our defence hadn't been taught for the last 5 years under Sven to pass it around because Possession wins games in Italy. I agree we have a long way to go before we start to look like a serious threat but we do have foundations IMO.

Looks like most of the predictions were right, maybe its time for a very big shake up. Cut their obscene salaries to something a bit more decent and pay them a bonus on results. Its a pity to have to say such a thing about what is supposed to be a sport instead of a money maker for all concerned.

They do not have the hunger to win which is due in no small part to the enormous sums of money they get paid on the backs of the fans!

LOL the only chance the wages will be cut is if the clubs cut it, and whilst the players are doing the business at club level its never going to change unless the FA step in which wont happen.

This is why I was so livid with Newcastle over the Owen thing.

It should be an honour to play for your country. Not an inconvenience to your money making machine football club.

Newcastle Chairman should be ashamed
