these are great!
my first one was before i could drive, came out of school went to where i got picked up jumped in our green audi estate, started talking to my mum, threw bag on back seat and wondered where the hell wed got a baby from. then looked at driver and at the car in front -which was ours!
playing at being colin mcrae in the forest with the works van, handbraked it round a corner and ripped the tyre of the rim then found a bald spare and no toolkit. had to walk 3 miles out of the forest and wait half an hour on a single track road before i eventually got picked up by a caddy pickup being driven by a one armed elderly welsh farmer. you cant make it up!
and the best was going to visit a family friend and noticing all his facing and brickwork was cracked up one side of the house- hed reversed into it when he was moving our bulldozer around

Can I make a list?

1, checking out the talent at the bus stop, windows open music pumping, (I was 18 ) Mate in front of me stops.....I didnt. .

2, mark 1 Golf GTI, filled up with oil due to bad oil leak, left filler cap off, realised this when at college, so just like the sock thing, I ramed a old rag in the neck to stop it splashing out, sweet..worked for about 10 seconds then the camshaft sucked it straight in

3, Decided to "smooth" my boot off in a mk 1 golf conv, about 18 tubs of filler, some chicken wire mesh and several ceiling tiles later, it looked proper ****e

4, Cruising round Southend seafront years ago with a mate, nice new car, was snowing at the time, picked up 3 lovely Essex girls that came for a drive, first bend i came to, understeered like mad, straight into kerb, front nearside wheel under passenger seat somewhere

The list really could go on and on.....

Would like to add these all happened probably within a year of each other.....

Wanted to see what would happen(wheelspin in 4th at 90+) as it boosted wildly.
Lasted approx 1500mls then melted the splines on turbo and spat them down exhaust, great while it lasted.

Had a complete spare car with gubbed g/box. and better engine. We then changed the turbo over and drove the car a further 15,000 mls. Stupid but fun!!

HOLY $H1T!!!

What kind of boost did that turbo get up to? Sounds wicked.. but also sounds like you very brave and had lots to spare m8 ??!!

Went three times past the "safe" limit on boost gauge 13psi(I think) so at a guess 35-40psi?
One of my many daft things done with cars.Changed the oil/filter on XJR-S, filled oil two cans GTX-Magnatec dipped it for level nothing on dipstick, yes you are right 10L plus oil on the ground (not replaced sump plug).
Talked my father into co. car of my choice (his company, my car).
Less than 100 miles later crashed Porsche into the back of him coming back from collecting the Porsche. (both company cars for the company we worked for) My Porsche had 5k damage his UR Quattro £7k damage. Not happy

Having a really bad week in the car and feel really stupid!

Wednesday
Hit a dozy pheasant whilst rushing home from work and smashed the fog lamp covers and spoiler and then had to spend the rest of the evening pulling feathers and gore from out of it so it would fit back on again properly.

Thursday
Went to Leeds and got confused with the satnav directions and ended up driving down a one way street with three lanes of cars coming towards me. Had to do a swift u turn, thank God the tinted windows spared my blushes.

Friday 13th - nothing happened!!!

Sunday
Was parking really carefully making sure no-one could ding my doors I ran into the very high curb and totally finished the spoiler off.

They say bad luck comes in threes so maybe I'll be OK now!
