Hi Munna - I'm ok - a lot happier now that it is Friday.

Yosser - the problem with getting a proximity alarm is that the little to55ers can still throw stuff through your windows and then run before you get outisde the house.

You could try setting up a CCTV system to monitor the parking area - they're not too expensive nowadays. A friend of a friend had one monitoring his motor and it was used to catch the bu99ers who broke into his car. The police saw the footage and recognised the perps.

Edited due to bad spelling...

True about the proximity.
I just think it's so sad that we have to go to these extreme measures to protect our pride and joys.
CCTV a possibillity - I think the more likely answer is to move out of the area (or try and hire a garage).
Just been outside and another car has had 2 side windows done - didn't even go into the car (certainly not joy riders - it was a old volvo) so at least I know that it wasn't aimed specifically at the scoob - just mindless vandalism - I must admit though I don't really want it back until after Nov 5th.
Cheers

Sorry to hear about this, in full agreement with the other sentiments expressed here, particularly Mulder & Blubs.

Try not to let it get to you. Had two houses burgled, garage done twice, cossie stolen plus an attempt to take it off the drive.

Fingerprints on the garage indicated they were around ten years old! They took some kit and emptied the freezer, their parents would obviously know because the only place that stuff was going was home!

One SOCO said "the only certain way to secure your house is to brick up all the windows and doors". The humour was a little lost on me at that time, I wonder what his comment would be about a car!

My only consolation was at least it wasn't purely mindless vandalism.

B
