The public's perception of the Police is a real problem in society these days. It not just the public's fault and its not just the Police's fault but something needs to change.

Ive been saying for a long time that highway patrol and speed enforcement should be contracted out to other agencies. Lets face it most of the public dislike the Police because they have had a speedign ticket off them in the past!

Si
I'd agree with the first part of your post, Si. I'm in the group of society that OUGHT to be SOLIDLY behind the police...........but I'm not And I don't think I need go into my personal reasons, they are fairly well documented on here anyway).

I'd STRONGLY disagree with the second point, if we were to contract out road enforcement, it'd become an even bigger cash cow than it already is, with even sneakier enforcement.

And your third point is only HALF right: Most of the public dislike the police because they have had a speeding ticket off them in the past................and insufficient input when they've REALLY needed HELP

LOL i love reading all this hardman talk on scoobynet. Keyboard warriors lol. I'll take the bait anyway in scoobynet tradition- THANK GOD YOUR ELDEST RESTRAINED HIMSELF. HE'S A PROPER BIGMAN.
How does recounting what I know my eldest's reaction would have been, make ME a keyboard warrior?

And HE didn't restrain himself, I restrained him by making it official, so that if he went daft on me, he'd be in shtuck with the local dibble .............something even he's not soft enough to do abroad

What a soft lad YOU are Try READING posts properly, before posting, or were you distracted by someone wanting their Big Mac?

I was trying to point out that its all very well typing out macho stuff on a keyboard but in reality your probably a softlad like my friend 'stilover'. Most NORMAL people don't come on here spouting everyday confrontations they have. They just get on with it. As i've said before its a geek thing. I was reading this very amusing thread when at work today... Some excellent retorts. (arent the coppers proud )
In all serious, and no keyboard warrioring intended, what Evo6SAMI says about the behaviour of him and his dog when out walking is astounding . I have owned staffy's for 18 years (am on my third staffie and my second rescue one). :
I have only once had the misfortune of some irresponsible retard walking a dog off a lead in a public place confront one of my dogs and that was an old man who it wasnt safe to hit.
My mother was walking her dog (on a lead) 2 weeks ago when a rotty off a lead went for her dog...These owners are not responsibly excercising their dogs, they are irresonsible retards unfit to own a dog.
It is not the job of the dog owner who walks a dog on a lead in public places to find a quiet spot to let it off its lead. It is the the owner of the "gobby" dogs responsibility to muzzle it in public and train it not to be aggressive.
At the end of the day why isnt it muzzled anyway if you know it might have a go? Walk a bit further in future (you fat ****) and then it wont need to be let off the lead in public (and you might lose a few pounds yourself...)
As a responsible dog owner of a potentially "nails" breed I was appalled at your blaze' approach to dog on dog action of the non humping variety
Sti's sister/birds experience was shocking, the owner should be warned by Sti, if the police wont do it now it has been reported.

PS, no machismo and never bullied at school, just an honest opinion, which of course, if you dont like, you shove up your evos' peawhistle exhaust

AGAIN I ask, why does recounting what MY ELDEST would have done make you think I'm trying to be anything? I don't claim to be hard, nor soft.

It sems to be YOU that has a bee in his bonnet about who's soft, who's hard and who's not

Are YOU being bullied at school

Ive found some of the most moronic people who lack common sense in possesion of a degree. Unless your a proffesional dog trainer everyones opinion here olds the same weight degree or no degree.

"ooooo but yes I make more money than you"

We have a thirdhand account of the dog owner's actions by a plonka whose obviously doesn't like the guy anyway. His story has changed more than a confused transvestite. There are two sides to every story.

Abdabz in reply to your post i am a responsible dog owner. My local park there are countless number of dogs and most of the time they all get on. But occasionally one of the dogs might have a barnie at another(like kids). But we all don't turn round to the owner if its an ISOLATED incident and tell them to muzzle it. Has your dog never had a go at anything? How ******* stupid are you?

Your spelling is terrible for someone educated to that level. "except the fact"? "sexuall"?

You might have a bit more careful in the post where you were filling us in on your educational achievements, at least.

Couldn't resist. Sorry.
