Does it really matter?

As said before if he can drive sennsibly then he's as safe as anyone else.

Mummy & Daddy may not even come into the equation.. nobody knows his situation so i dont think its fair to judge where his funds are coming from.

I appreciate what youre saying mate but any car is a weapon in the wrong hands.. a turbo 2000 isnt really that much different IMO.

Drive carefully and you'll be fine i think

This is complete nonsense !!

We (insurance staff) log details of every claim made, including the age of the driver. Therefore we can say without any doubt that young drivers are involved in proportionately more accidents (and more serious ones for that matter). Insurers are commercial organisations in a competitive market - if the rates being charged were beyond the level of risk, some insurer would come along and plug the gap and insure 18 yr olds at the same price as 30 yr olds !!

Rant over.

all of us have said the same thing.. too young, the temptation to beat all your mates in their little saxos, corsas will be too much, Imprezas are very powerfull cars and very expensive, at 18 a 1.4 will be enough, but its your life, we all make mistakes!
