Right my 2p now, the origional poster is trying to find a better home for his pup, but as usual whenever a dog is mentioned everyone stands on their moral high ground.
Maybe he was hoping that someone owns or breeds this particular breed of dog, and guess what...my girlfiends dad breeds these, has/had three of them as personal pets, three generations, granny mummy and daughter
He hasnt bred them for a while and was thinking of getting another as he enjoyed having three.
I will speak to him tomorrow and let him read this, do you all still think he should not have posted this thread now. Whether something comes of this or not, her dad may never had had the chance to consider it if he hadn't.
Fair play for him being honest and man enough to admit the animal needs to be rehomed for a beter life, some people would just leave it indoors and not bother dealing with the situation.

What a great ending that would be. Let's hope it all works out well for all concerned.

missed that, thought I'd read the whole thread... well failing that then you should get in touch with the Weimaraner Rescue: Weimaraner Rescue
Clearly a second rate breeder though

ok, can someone come and collect him tomorrow night ? (Friday) or even tonight ?
I am going to be out all day saturday and dont want to leave him on his own. I am tempted with the rescue but not keen on him spending 2 - 3 weeks in a rescue home and then re-housed again.
if you think you can do this and can offer him a good home then please call me on 07772 090891 or PM me. if people are holding back because i asked for money then dont worry about it. My concern is that the dog is happy rather than my pocket. my last resort will be the rescue.
thanks again

I know what your feelin mate i bought an english bull terrier on the same conditions as you (kids an all that) but no one bothered with him. They left me no choice. No matter how many toy's i bought him to keep him occupied and i alway's took him for a good walk he would still come home and wreck the house. He ended up with an experienced EBT fanatic so all is well.Hope it all well for ya buddy

Please reconsider your comment about rescue. I made enquiries and Weimeraner rescue is very good. He'll probably be in a foster home for a short while for temperament, etc. assessment so that the right home can be found first time.
There's a better chance he'll be happy long term through rescue. You've given this forum your best shot and tried to do what you feel's best without success.
Good luck whatever the outcome.
