Agreed though that it's probably better than a WR1, in terms of image at least.
I quite liked that car just a tad expensive for what you get in my opinion oh yeah and I broke it

Cheers chap.
I`m excited about it.
I am mature enough to take on board other peoples opinions but I think everyone should base their opinions on actual facts rather than ****.
It takes a fair bit to impress me with 4 wheels anyway and I have to say it took me all of about 5 mins to say "where do I sign???"

Gay colour and outclassed by japanese imports though. As well as being overpriced of course.

The facts are of course that the dregs of our society have taken the Range Rover Sport as their own. I believe Jade of 'useless slag off a reality TV program' fame owns one.

Good choice IMO.

If I had the money, I'd have one tomorrow, well the Mrs would anyway, and if she's happy, I'm happy.

Nice motor.

So what's wrong with Jade 'Innit' Goody....at least she's on TV in every glossy crap mag and probably earning a good few quid.

Torpid maybe you should change your user name to 'Green with Envy Man from wherever you come from'....................Jesus man get a life.....

You are seriously asking the question, 'what's wrong with Jade Goody'?

You seriously think being on television and being in 'every glossy crap mag' are good things?

You seriously think I'm jealous of someone who decided to spend 60K on a Range Rover Sport?

I seriously think you're an idiot if those things are the case.

For the record I could buy a Range Rover Sport for cash but I can think of far better things to do with the money.......................

My brother and his girlfriend both sell Landies and these Sports are flying out, he brought one round the day and they are enourmous cars.........very gauche but with a quirky charm akin to the ultimate Transit sport conversion

You suggested I was jealous, as I have the funds to buy such a car outright I'm clearly not. I hardly think in a time when a poxy house on a newbuild estate somewhere like Basildon can be worth a quarter of a million pounds that stating you have liquid funds of such an amount is 'blowing your own trumpet'. It's just a fact.
May I suggest in reply to your statement 'go get a life' that you 'go **** a duck you piece of crap'

.......and no I've never spent 60K on a car, as I already said I can think of far more rewarding things to do with the money.

And you know what, that's kind of my point. You come on here slating people about their choice of car. Of course you can have views but I just can't figure out why you need to be so vociferously rude about them. This guy is splashing out 60k on a car and you can't think of one decent thing to say about it. Hence my question "are you jealous" because that's really the only explanation I can come up with so far. And you know one other thing, there's a great difference between having 60k cash, and having 60k cash to go and spend on a car, and somehow I get the feeling you don't fall into the latter, the fact you can find more rewarding things to do with 60k makes me think in reality you don't have 60k to go and spend on a car?

He's a wind up merchant, so ignore him, or engage with him in his mode...........I on the other hand would die of shock if someone said I had 60K to spend on anything

I didn't slate him for his choice of car, I just stated my opinion of it. I'm sure he doesn't give a flying **** what I think. Why would I need to think of one decent thing to say about it if there isn't one. Hang on........wait a minute..........they do have a nice state of the art diesel engine, happy now?

As for the 60K thing for fear of being accused of 'blowing my own trumpet' I have far in excess of that figure available in liquid funds. Should I feel the need to spend that figure or more on a car I could, however I don't. I'd never spend more than a couple of months wages on a car.

Oh well, best tell my folks not to sell their "proper" Ranger Rover in favour of a supercharged aspirational Cheshire set tractor as they'll be regarded by some as the dregs of society

Why?

At the end of the day, they've 3 cars at the mo - my mums 320CLK, the old boys XK8 (which he uses about twice a year and wont sell it for love nor money) and the Ranger Rover - which my mum hates driving as she thinks its going to tip over at any moment. As they will be "retiring" early in the new year and selling up, they dont need the off-road sh*t kicker, my mum wants to punt the Merc on and they still need something that can tow a trailer with a car on as the old boy wants a hobby lol. Seems like a fairly reasonable and practicle choice to me.

As for A.B. - Fair play, if you got it you might as well spend it (and I quite like them too!)

So you really are all talk no action hey? For someone that's never spent much on a car you sure have some views on the social status of certain cars.

On a related note, if you sold these things all day long, you may well agree with a lot of what Torpido is saying, eg; footballers, their entourage, wanabe ganster types etc, etc

You will find for many people on Scoobynet 60k is only a couple of months wages and maybe Aaron has only spent a couple of months wages.

What did you get with your 2 months pocketmoney then Torpid ?

I don't think 60K is two months wages after tax for 'many people' on scoobynet. If it is for Aaron then good for him, personally I wouldn't spend my 60K two months wages on a Sport, I'd get a proper Range Rover.

Another poster was asking what my qualifications are for making comment as I 'don't spend much' (well around the 20K mark so fairly cheap) on a car. What qualifies me is the fact I've driven a huge range of cars, am knowledgeable about the market and have excellent taste.

Ask me the question again without being a pathetic loser scoobydoo and I *might* tell you what I bought with my 2 months or thereabouts worth of salary.
