STi gearbox etc bigger turbo headers etc.
Ii had the vf30 in mine and never had any lag in any gear it was sweet and sounded the dogs.

I can get 30mpg on my WR1 its running a closed loop lamda sensor which constantly monitors the fuel/air,and at motorway speeds in 6th gear the best we have had is 314 miles to the tank.

Pete Higham has a bugeye very similar in power to yours and he has just lost 3rd gear whilst on the BBO.
I had a recent rebuild and mine is only 280bhp but with over 300 lbs torque. but i do drive mine hard (more fool me)

Have been trying to resist the modding bug but have failed.
Currently have 05 wrx wagon with
P pack back box
Larger top mounted intercooler
Open throat Decat
Centre decat
Power station remap
RCM cone filter kit
Prodrive brake upgrade
Prodrive springs
That make 270 BHP and 340 kN
Next upgrades are
Turbo off 2.5 UK STI
Equal length headers
Decat Up pipe
Managed to do all mine fairly cheapishly due to mates in the trade.
Hoping for 320 BHP and 38o NM and that I'll be happy with!!!
Agree on the early dogs and kids centiment, nothing better than the Golden retriever blowing raspberry at the TVR out the back window as you disappear away from the surprised TVR owners at supercar sunday!!!!!

I do disagree plus down to mine and other peoples experience - not always clear cut. It depends on how you drive it obviously.
Mine is pushing out 280ish and about 300lbs torque and my gearbox went, Petes is more powerful and his has only lasted two minutes, Moneys has also had problems.
I'm no expert (far from it) but a few that i know (and folks experience on here) dictates that its not a case of if, but when, when you run over 320 ish bhp, Yours did run a lot more and i'm sure it only would have been a matter of time before it gave problems, and lets face it, no one mods their car and drives like a vicar - especially you

Not up there with the likes of David and Steven but my DIY attempt at 450 of each is documented from the start here: https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...ssic-2-0l.html
Financial and personal reasons have stopped advancement for the time being but hopefully the ball will soon be rolling again once the divorce is finalised and I don't have to hide everything
Its a good read and like I said its documented from the very start with lots of pics.
Hope you find it useful.
