Just waded through this thread, some valid points made by both sides but, *awaits flaming* some very immature comments from Scooby owners who should know better. I agree the initial post could have been worded much better though.

The "its a Ford" argument has got a bit old now hasn't it? I mean, yes, I know the brand has been the subject of some, er, "interesting" modifications by the Barry brigade, but people seem to forget that Ford also created the GT40, the RS200, the legendary Mk.1 and Mk. 2 Escort...

Irrespective though, the thread doesn't end particularly pleasantly. No matter what the brand or the cost, car thieves are all scum and our hatred of them (and support of thier victims) should be universal - no matter what marque is involved.

The monaro kicks my a##! But its like everything else on this planet all things said and done you really need to be on a track at the same time! Weather permitting! & have someone like the Stig test each car and time trial them!
