Default fords....

probably the best value, most underated range out there. Their list prices are ambitious however no-one pays list...even more so with a ford. All they miss at present is image, its going to take years to turn that around but if your the type of person who knows cars for what they are:

handling
build
ride
etc etc then you really should not dismiss them....even better second hand when depreciation has kicked in

Oh me....I drive a BMW!

So more desirable is better....

The Passatt was more desirable than the Mondeo, but I don't think it's any better built, satisfaction and reliability surveys have them even and the Mondeo has far superior handling and drive.

Some people, even some motoring press, class the Mondeo as being the "Better" car.

All down to the individuals requirements in a car. Some people go for prestige and image, some prefer to buy cars for their driving ability.
It's a good job we are not all the same.

Cheers

We had a £7k Ford Focus for 3 years which was absolutely faultless, drive superbly, never broke down and was ultra reliable in 30k miles.

We sold it a few months back and bought a 2 year old £30k BMW. Its had a new turbo, new engine, keeps breaking down, has faults developing all over the place and is generally a pain to own.

I would have a Ford again in a flash (and in fact we are buying another after Xmas), I doubt I would buy another BMW though.

With Ford winning the WRC manufacturers championship a nice Focus RS 4wd couldn't be better timed

Maybe it will be that low in production, but with wider arches to give clearance? (and hopefully WRC style bonnet vents too to give even more road presence!)
