I'm not suprised that someone has started doing kits, quite a big market for these i should think.
I would like to see the brackets in one piece though and i hope the bolts are high tencile, after all we are talking about brakes here.
Has anyone made any enquires about insurance with modded brakes? years ago with the modded rally cars anything non factory needed an engineers report
The calipers are factory but brackets are not dont leave anything to chance

When I think of it I have another touch up pot on the way
I mailed the supplier back with some pictures and said I was happy with the match, I think it was around 90% accurate which I thought was not bad considering it is a Honda supplied colour
and thanked them for their help with supplying the American coded touch up pot.
I had a reply back yesterday saying they had another pot there which they thought would be much closer if not a perfect match and they were just going to send it out for me to try
top service indeed
When all is sorted I'll post the guys details and if anyone wants to touch up there Brembo's it will be as simple as that. ( It's not heat resistant though) I don't see that as a problem for the small areas that need a touch up.

Brembo's turned up this morning ![Luxhello](images/smilies/luxhello.gif)
Couple of chips on the calipers which will need touching up, discs and pads look good.
Just need to get some high tensile bolts, goodridge brake lines and some DOT 5.1 fluid now.
For anyone else thinking of doing this there is a set of rear on ebay at the mo, currently at £160.

Brake lines sorted, should be here in a couple of days, Si - ordered the same as you, Brembo conversion kit with the rears 20mm longer than standard.
Si - Hows the brackets coming along?
Gonna wait till my coilovers turn up now before i fit my brakes, as you've got to disconnect the brake to change the suspension anyway.

Dean your motoring there so to speak
We are hoping to look at the brackets in the morning so fingers crossed they may be ready this week... it's taken longer than expected with one thing and another in work, Clive is off on every Monday until Christmas so we have had a few short weeks. Got a new boss in work so need to maintain a low profile as he is watching everything... mind you he has his head so far up his a*** it's a wonder he can see out
at least now Dean with your bracket there is little planning needed in the one respect we can work off it easy without the need for the rest of the gear in view.
What's the timescale with the shoe job ?
Si

Gonna be busy when they do turn up, i'll be fitting the shocks, ARB, strut brace, droplinks, rear brembo's, braided hoses and changing the brake fluid all in one hit.
My mate will be well impressed when he finds out he helping me with it all and doing my alignment for me

Just a quick update,
My brackets are half made as work got in the way before Christmas, hopefully I'll get them done in the next few weeks that's the plan anyway.
I've painted the hubs on the discs this morning so that should stop the rust before it starts.
Getting close but we will get there soon
the car is not being used much when the worst of the salt is on the roads anyway so I don't mind the wait as it will be worth it.

Tein's turned up this morning, they look brand new, i'm very pleased with the condition of them, checked the part number with tein uk and they are the current model and EDFC compatible ![Luxhello](images/smilies/luxhello.gif)
So then:
Coilovers - Sorted

Goodridge lines - Sorted
Things left to get:
Brake fluid - Ordered today
Whiteline Drop links - Ordered today
Modified Handbrake shoes - being done
Gold Paint - still to do

Hoping to have everything ready to fit the suspension and rear brakes in one day, hopefully before the end of Jan.

I've got paint here Dean
I'll need it back afterwards though.
I'll bring it to the meet unless you want it before that as I can pass it on to Ian to pass on to you, I may be seeing him in the next few days.
If you would prefer to have the details to buy your own I can pass them on as well, it's a Honda dealer
the match looks good to me but we need to see it in situ for the final verdict

had a quick go with the touch up paint's this morning, one i found was light gold the other dark copper, so mixed a tiny bit of each together and looks to be a perfect match. ![Thumb](images/smilies/thumb.gif)
just got to get the hand brake shoes sorted now.

Not a bad way really a two part install Ian as you can use the money raised selling your four pots to fund the rear fitment, then you can sell your standard rears and get some cash back after the jobs finished.
I hope to be able to get up Andy's on Friday afternoon all being well... I'll have to call him to check he is about first though.
