Thanks again. I'm feeling a bit cold about the car. I don't seem to have an emotional attachment to it. Perhaps I was already preparing to move on, who knows.

That's good news as it means the thieves don't win this time.

LOL, thanks. I still don't know whether that stuff will be covered or not.

I'm in a New Ford Focus Ghia at the mo. It's rather nice apart from the over-assisted brakes and steering, and the centre console that interferes with the handbrake, and the poxy indicator sound.

Unfortunate fact of most modern mass production cars

Mazda 3 version of the focus is a nicer car to be in too

Imagine how I feel when I say a classic scoob has over -assisted brakes and steering.

Yes, that does seem a bit hasty Bob. When I first dealt with motor insurance claims , we wouldn't consider the claim as "stolen and unrecovered" till 4 weeks after the theft. This was reduced to 2 weeks a few years later.
One week is quick !

However, it's to your benefit : you can always pay them the money back if your car's recovered after they've paid out !!

OOH - my 1000th post ! do i get a sticker or somethink ?!
