Was a sunny day and with no winds, dog ran after it and bit it, so i managed to fly a little higher to avoid the dog and er it was hoovering in next door gardens and i didnt know how to get it back over, ended up going higher and higher *** i tried to control it, then got a gust of wind and it went into someone's back garden, heard a big crash so...

p.s. Remove the transparent plastic cover and put a drop of light oil on the cog - runs far smoother and quieter!

I got one of these today
Nano Copter IR Bullet
although it was £35 at Bluewater (got them down to £30 on one of those student run type toy stalls) Its feking excellent and been buzzing it round the front room all night annoying the Mrs Comes with a sheet of aluminium stickers that you can weight the front down with depending on how much angle you want it to have. Loaded mine right up, adjusted the trim and can now bomb it round the front room. They had loads of different ones including an Apache Has 3 different channels on the handset so you can have 3 flying in the same vicinity. Also stuck lithium batteries in the handset, charges in about 10-15 minutes and not the 30 it states and flies for a good 10 minutes before conking out.
Oh and to make it even better its even got a flashing blue led when flying just like the real thing

The advert on this page is pretty good, just had a browse and although a US site they ship internationally for £16 and everything on there seems to be at worst half the price of what it is over here! Some very cheap copters on there, like the look of the Black Hawk and the Apache.

a little off topic of helicopters....but I bought one of these last week for the (ahem) kids... Silverlit Radio Control Airlifter , Flying machines - Toys R Us
Great fun, obviously a doddle to fly, good range on the RC and charges in 9 mins and lasts for 4 or 5.
Had to dig my tree climbing skills out of my memory attic last week when my 5 yr old wedged it up a tree.. Thinking of painting it bright yellow though, as the camo paintwork makes it a beatch to find when it crashes in long grass
Well worth the £29

I just sold my two helicopters two weeks ago. I'll miss them but I needed the money due to unemployment.
If anybody is contemplating buying a "pro" model, I'd suggest buying second hand. Two reasons for this. Firstly, if the seller knows how to fly it, then it's probably already set up. This is very difficult for a beginner. Without proper setting up, flying it would be like trying to balance a ballbearing on a sheet of convex shaped glass. The other reason to buy second hand is price. My "Henseleit 3DMP" cost me about £1900 all in, I only got £750 when I sold it, and I lost about half of my money on my "Sceado 50".
