I'm like the rest. I have a standard 03 WRX saloon and find it quiet enough when it needs to be (driving home late at night with both the kids asleep) yet quick enough when I want to have some fun. In both cases the slightly softer sprung WRX allows just enough grip to allow you to push on without removing fillings from teeth or bouncing your passengers off the roof lining when going over hump-back bridges.
I've even taken all the family camping and found enough room in the boot to take all the bits and pieces (table, chairs, airbed, cool box etc) so equipment for the kids should be no problem.

Yep, me too - My06 saloon for me as the baby was on the way - "practical family car"
It is more practical than my wife's megane - if you're planning on putting buggy in the boot just make sure it fits between the suspension turrets.
Spent the weekend looking to replace the sensible 5-door french hatch for something a bit bigger.
Having said that - baby is 7 weeks old and hasn't made it to the Scoob yet - result

I had a 5dr Civic 1.8VTi and when I was looking for something a bit newer not much bigger and with a bit more performance there was only one option. A year and a half later after selling the Civic I've still got my Turbo 2000 Impreza. The kids love it too and the boy is 9 and the girl is 7 and as said before give him great playground cred when I drop them off.

When the nips were designing the Scoob there were 3 criteria:
Kids in back.
Shopping in back.
Pisch on Porsche (or most of them anyway!)
Great family car - even has street cred with my 10 year old.

I have no kids to judge the family friendliness of the scoob, but I know mines camping friendly!
Judging by the amount of camping equipment i got in the back of it last time, im more than sure you can fit one small baby in one!
Not sure its legal to make the baby ride in the boot though............................................ ..

Scoobs are brilliant fun practical family cars 
I had my WRX with my son from 6mths then the Type R (not so good with big doors) but he loved it and now the real practical fun car the Forester STI ! great for the camping/mountain biking ect. Now hes 8 and loves scoobs.
