Thanks all!
The conversion is far from being a monster, it can pootle arounf all day, but when you want the beans, its got the beans big style!! The turbo kicks in so so low (max torque at 2500 all the way through to 6k) that you don't get the agressive kick you get with big bhp turbos.
I've not been in a VTEC yet, but am trying one in the next few weeks, but i cannot afford the super charged version (£4.5k more than the Audi), and i suspect the n/a will just seem lacking in comparision, but if i do prefer i go that avenue instead. But to to be honest i miss the turbo engines, hence my massive love of the Audi.
Greg, no she isn't coming to doni, its her idea of hell!!
Kim, poor emma??, poor me after spending that much !!

How the hell does your misses not know you've spent so much on mods? Surely she knows how much you earn and will wonders where it goes when she asks for a new wardrope or something and you say no.
Mine knows when I've put a tank of fuel in, and moans at me when I want to take it for a spin at the weekend to use some of it up! Maybe joint accounts are not the way to go
RS4 tuned engine in an Elise, that will be a handfull! - **** me!

Squizz, at trackdays at least every month, you are alway welcome for a passenger ride! At Doni tomorrow if you want to pop down

I agree, this was the only regret when I got my VXT. I still prefer the looks of a S1 out of all the range......... Mmm thinking about it drop us line if you ever sell

which was a 300-330bhp car and stonkingly fast but I sold it two weeks ago and acquired this:

which kicks out around 360bhp, weighs only 750kg (a good 100kg lighter than the previous car) and was the car which finished 4th at this years TunerGP - I've lightened it some more by fitting some magnesium alloys. Still road legal too
BBR did supercharge the Elise (they did Adrian Neweys 300bhp car IIRC) as did TurboTechnics, but they're all working with the original K-series, whereas the modern conversions are either the Audi lump (turboed) or the Honda lump (supercharged).

Now that is a quick Elise.
