Thanks for all the positive comments guys
Still find me here as well of course
You have to respect Simon and Shaun for the work they have done with SNet over the years
Both go hand in hand

i use sidc to . great bunch off people always willing to try and help you out. dont get abuse for asking what you might this is silly question and for not spelling somthing wright.( i use side more for the sheer fact that most off the ppl r cool and you get the chance to meet then at all the shows over the year and pick there brains.) i was at a show in the summer with sidc at crail there were over 40 subarus there cleand the board best club stand best in show and shine best car up Qmile fastest 4wd won everything apart from front wheel drive....even at knockhill when thay have theres a track day.. iff you r not out on track most off the lads will take you round in there cars for a blast and a small fee that goes towards a charity that thay have (santa cruise)
i will say SN has a s**t load off info(good thing). there r somee ppl that are just hear to give ppl s**t and slag people for not being as clued up as then but hay you do get these ppl on every forum even sidc.
big up to the ppl that run this site keep up the good work

I use both. Have to say that there's far less crap on SIDC but they do go hand in hand. I tend to use this site more but that's only down to the fact there's the ESC dedicated page and most of the ppl I know frequent that page. When that didnt exist I spent a lot more time on SIDC.
If I was in your shoes joining is a blessing. Great discounts, huge knowledge pool and all in all decent folks with the same passion for the Marque who are only too keen to help out when you need it.
Enjoy

A good bunch on the SIDC forums, lots of decent info and good banter plus becoming a full member of the club is defo worth the tiny fee of £35 considering the discounts etc.

I`ve joined the Scottish Scoobies forum on the SIDC site as not alot of Scots use the Scottish section on ScoobyNet. It`s better for me to get info. about meets/track days etc.

I was paid up on SIDC, but found that at the time dealers wouldn't bother with me as I have an early import car. So no discounts there. Living in Gateshead I have Revolution and AS Performance on my doorstep and get discount there, so it's not all bad
I also found the forum, for want of a better word, to feel a bit "boring"
True Grip's a good magazine and TBH I do miss getting that.
As Phil Stephens(sp) mentioned SN and The SIDC do tend to go hand in hand.
IMO, if track days etc are your thing I'd say to join up. They aren't my cup of tea though. SIDC from what I notice do try to attend all the shows and have a good turn out and well presented stand.
Muddy is a bit of a nutter though, in a good way, I'm sure he was trying to polish his car at this years NBO, brolly in hand when it was raining. That's dedication

I`ve heard many people in the past complaining about SIDC being boring, having too many non-subaru related topics, and the forum not being user friendly. I`ve also seen alot of the same people desperately trying to get SIDC tickets for shows and events as Scoobynet do not have club stands as such.
Basically my point is, dont slag off SIDC if you intend using their facilities when it suits you.
Me? I use both. Neither very often anymore though, as I dont have a Subaru
